about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Sphere within Sphere

“96/99”

Formed by Hiroyasu Izumori (Isolate Line) and Yuusuke Shimosada (Sparkler), Sphere within Sphere are a Japanese duo who create immersive soundscapes, blending electronics with guitar textures, noise, and glitch.

The project centers on memory as a living presence rather than a fixed past. Referring to 1996 and 1999 as emotional coordinates, the work explores how vanished moments continue shaping the present.

Their music dissolves genre boundaries, balancing algorithmic structures with fragile human resonance. The result is a post-everything sound where abstraction and emotion coexist within shifting sonic spheres.

The artwork—a Polaroid held against a landscape—visually captures this layering of time, framing memory within observation.
