I took this picture in Chernivtsi at the beginning of russian full-scale invasion. This was a time when many families were separated and these words resonated in me. The credit goes to whoever wrote this on the wall.

With his ninth blocSonic release, Timezone Lafontaine crafts an album that’s as intellectually dense as it is sonically raw. This is the artist in full architect mode-constructing a sonic space where broken tech, political unease, and identity fatigue all collide into an abstract reality you can live inside. If only for 37 minutes.
“Big Picture” turns advertising jargon into philosophical horror. “Tech Noir” explores seduction as surveillance. “The Ratio” gives voice to the creative’s dilemma in a world built for consumption. Together, these songs form a kind of audio collage—fragmented, frenzied, and painfully accurate.
TZLF’s collaborators lean all the way in. Headsnack, CM aka Creative, 34Pro, Blak Madeen, Donnie Ozone, and Cheese N Pot-C all show up not just as guests but as co-conspirators. Their verses aren’t just about skill, they’re tethered to the album’s themes like layers in a shared thesis. “Let’s Go” is less a cypher and more a collective manifesto.
What elevates Unrealest is its emotional depth. Amid the data paranoia and cultural critique, there’s a search for connection, for creative meaning. “Stay High” and “Victory Lap” show a different side of the project—where resistance becomes rhythm, and the act of creating is a form of healing.
Sonically, the album fuses lo-fi textures with hi-concept execution. It’s dusty, distorted, and filled with spectral voices—some sampled, some real, all relevant. It’s not trying to polish the sound of the moment, it’s trying to record the feeling of living through it.
Timezone Lafontaine doesn’t offer escapism. Unrealest asks you to stay. To look. To listen.
Because sometimes the only way through unreality… is to make something real.

A physical device, with keys pushing hammers via levers, was utilized. The relative position and velocity of the hammers was measured via optical sensors, digitally recorded, and wirelessly transmitted. These numerical records were reconstituted via software and samples of previously recorded audio – more numbers.
You are most likely hearing the result after it has been stored and transmitted several more times, and used to trigger very particular vibrations of air molecules via whatever digital audio hardware you have available. Finally, your ear receives those vibrations and converts it back into electrical signals, which are interpreted by your brain in a process that is still largely inscrutable.
You imagine the experience as acoustic, an organic occurrence of natural sound. But the organic experience only happened once, and we are left with this artifact – a very particular arrangement of bytes.

The forest and water spirits in concert,
glowing, ringing, vibrating,
the rhythm of the wilderness emerges.
The forest scientist Peter Wohlleben has observed, that trees and plants are communicating to each other thanks to the complex mycorrhizal networks.
The album is a contemplation on flora. Its music is a result of hours of walking, exploring and recording electrical impulses found in the wilderness. These impulses, emitted by trees, fungi, grass and bushes, were converted to MIDI signals and fed to various electronic instruments. Almost sixty percent of this record was co-composed and created by riverside vegetation. In addition, all the instruments were tuned to various subsets of the harmonic series.

A study in 2008 was without doubt about it, but another in 2024 is more than doubtful.
Anyway — you could stick your head in a microwave oven: it’s perfectly safe… as long as you don’t turn it on.
If you think it’s actually microplastics in the brain, or some other industrial poison — hexane residues, pesticides, ultra-processed food — maybe you’re right. Or maybe you’re wrong.
Most likely, there isn’t a single cause. Our environment, just like our bodies, has become such a toxic dumping ground that tracing back the origin of anything is almost impossible.
The only certainty is that the curve keeps rising.
And it won’t stop until we stop the mobsters running this capitalist circus.
The Third Policeman was recorded live, without any overdubs, using computer, MIDI keyboard, and controller / 2025.
The album is a subtle allusion to Flann O’Brien’s absurdist novel The Third Policeman, reflecting its surreal and enigmatic atmosphere through sound.
Another debut in the label’s catalog. Ryohei Kurihara releases his two-track mini EP titled “Afterimage of Words, a Place Beyond Return”, bringing us his ambient drone, echoing traces of his previous works.
The record sounds like sonic shadows that linger in memory, guiding us toward a territory where return is impossible—only slow, radiant contemplation in gentle waves of sound.
It offers nearly 20 minutes of layered sonorities that reveal an emotional space where silence breathes between grainy textures. Kurihara shapes frequencies with meditative precision, allowing each drone to unfold like a blurred memory.
The result is a sensorial crossing that deepens the meaning of the title, where words disappear but sensations remain to this day.

Electronic reggae with vocals, tambourines, and guitars sets the tone for “La voz de la energía”, an album that fits seamlessly into the Pueblo Nuevo catalog thanks to its exploratory drive and sharp aesthetic vision. Here, glitch emerges as a kind of Jamaican spiritual force — deep rhythms and dense atmospheres converge with analog basslines that roar like rocket launches, a playful nod to Kraftwerk, bursts of jazz trumpet, modulated frequencies, and reversed beats.
Each track unfolds as an immersive experience where styles blur and intertwine — dub, breakbeat, glitch, among others — enriched by a vivid tapestry of samples that expand the listening field. The result is a diverse, restless, and consistently surprising sonic journey that keeps the listener attuned to the vibrant creative energy of Neosintetico.
