about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

GLITCHSTEPPA – Herbal Riddims For After Midnight

[NKSprod102]

GLITCHSTEPPA

“Herbal Riddims For After Midnight”

OGG 350kb / MP3 320kb

“MOOORE FAAYAAAAA… DUBSTEPPAAAAAAAAAAAZ !!!
GlitchSteppa is a 4 hands project by Broken Toy and Ras Nando from Toulouse/ France. Far from being a newcomer, Broken Toy took part in the birth of breakcore in our pink city 8-10 years ago. He was in the Martel en tête team alongside GVK, Nevroz or Fuel In Sekt to name a few. Most of them went north but BT followed his activities in Toulouse on Radio FMR & in clubs as a dj. He played live in different places like Toulouse, Bruxelles, Vienna or New-York and made albums or eps on Sociopath Recordings and his own structure : Subeclectic Records. Ras Nando is a percussionist and electrodub producer.
Both guys like dubstep but are not soldiers or fashionistas. They mixed their forces to create a pure electroblend from roots to break glitch, influenced by Lee Scratch Perry & The Bug, Autechre & Ultraviolence.
Futuristic dub original.”

ADEN ÔHM – Période réfractaire

[NKS prod 81]

ADEN ÔHM

“Période réfractaire”

dubcore / dubstep / idm / breakcore
ogg 350 / mp3 320 / full streaming

[en] “Lots of high speed no limits, blasting noise & pure violence these days in the NKS releases. To take breath here is a dark dubcore album, by Aden Ôhm from Caen, France. Only few wooble inside. Aden Ôhm is closer to Hightone or Scorn than Skrillex. High quality dub, dark and heavy, with some industrial or breakcore incursions. No vocals but well-chosen various samples inside, for our greatest pleasure, enjoy !”

Telegraphy – Deep Tape Loops

[iono-11]

Telegraphy

“Deep Tape Loops”

“Deep Tape Loops” is the first full length album by resident artist Telegraphy. A project put together that consists of modified cassette tape loops, laptop, vintage vacuum tube receiver, and various analog effects. “Deep Tape Loops” delves into basic minimal-techno dub using vintage techniques.

Trying to make new sounds in a analog way is mighty difficult. In the age of sophisticated audio manipulation software where the novice can created wonderful sounds with ease, it just no wounder why many artist have dropped their analog gear for virtual equipment. Telegraphy on the other hand, has taken minimal-techno back in time, where all that was available was analog.

Synth loops were provided by cassette tape loops along with various analog effects. By using these loops, a more rich sound was produced which was not obtained by traditional software based methods.

Sound & Motion – Air Lifting (YetTken Remixes)

Sound & Motion

“Air Lifting (YetTken Remixes)”

ir Lifting (YetTken Remixes) [SOMO010] (August 30, 2012)
08:251 Air Lifting (YetTken’s Gooby Pls Remix)
12:012 Air Lifting (YetTken’s Baboon Version)
00:0008:25
You are using our new video/audio player!
I prefer flash (when possible)
Give us feedback!
While I still can, switch me back to the old player
We’re back (well, we never left)! Now we’re with the magical 10th release of Sound & Motion, in charge of Sound & Motion (You didn’t see that comin’, did you?). But, you know, sometimes we have to release some lovely exclusive stuff that’s been on the HDD for long time, waiting for someone to listen to it.

So, instead of releasing some original stuff (by the way, wait a little bit more ’cause they’ll release a new EP with some BRAND NEW ORIGINAL TRACKS soon!), let’s thank YetTken for remixing the classic “Air Lifting”. Twice! And letting us release both remixes in this lovely EP titled “Air Lifting (YetTken Remixes)” (so original, ain’t it?).

The first track is YetTken’s “Gooby Pls” remix. This one is a melodic Techno track with a banger kick and some tight drums that go along with a lovely lead that creates a mellow atmosphere and makes this tracks stand out. But wait… Wait ’till the track becomes darker with some irregular keys and stabs breaking through until some agressive percussions hit the spot and give us the climax of this piece.

The second remix is the “Baboon” version. While his first remix is a banger, this time YetTken gives us a lovely minimalistic Tech-House filled with bongos and micro percussions. Then the first notes of the lead appear smoothly along with some shakers generating a long yet special atmosphere with a lovely vibe before the incredible outro of the track that will make you replay this journey a lot of times.

As a bonus, we also give youa Dolan comic featuring Gooby! What a lovely bonus, isn’t it?

Ok, I’ll stop this bla bla bla and let you download. Now, enjoy the Sound & Motion experience!

Telegraphy – 0 dbm

[kpu116]

Telegraphy

“0 dbm”

Experimentations in sounds of shortwave. 0 dBm is a concept E.P. from Detroit producer Telegraphy (Richard Sudney). The concept being, combining in real time, audio of shortwave signals from which a vintage vacuum tube communications receiver is used as a back drop for Telegraphy’s minimal dub’ed sound-scapes. This receiver, with it’s etheric property’s not found in today’s solid state electronics, captures outer worldly tonalities and energies. Each track was recorded live directly to a audio capture device with no post production work done. This is to ensure minimal damage to any etherics that were recorded from the howl state vacuum tube radio.

Muhr – Hantises

[CML018]

Muhr

“Hantises”

Vincent Fugère’s last album, Dream Dictionary ( released on Les Enregistrements Variables, which is now on this very site ), dwelled in the grime of nightmares with ghostly pianos, noise and lamented guitars. This time Muhr goes back to his roots, taking in some of the aspects from his The Kodama Institute ep as well as his older, more beaty work to release ” Hantises “.
While some tracks are heavy, with trip-hop beats crumbling under the pressure of the weighty atmospheres, some others rely on space and sparseness. On hantise, you enter the physical manifestation of the terrain thread in Dream Dictionary; as terror and gloom slowly creep on the horizon, you are forced to look inside and find the calm and light-heartedness to face it.Un mot en français; Rouge et The dead ( démocratie remix ) ont été fortement inspiré de mes foulées dans les manifs du printemps érable. La force et la détermination de mon peuple m’inspire énormément. On se revoit dans la rue !

Along with the album, you can check out the additional visuals photographed and designed by Vincent Fugère. ( below and here )

Tarmac – Live at Switch Bar

[adpt005]

Tarmac

“Live at Switch Bar”

The fifth release of adeptlabel collects an hour and a bit of music that could be heard there. Here you will find the typical sound of Tarmac, but even more soaked in reverb, more noisy and more rhythmic. You could hear some exclusive tracks like Mid Summer or Nador 5, and other cuts included in the adeptlabel EPs: Old Path, 9, SBSTC… A total amount of 11 cuts “re- aconditioned” and re-arranged to sound in a live situation in a different way as studio recordings do. In short, to offer the audience a new vision of the Tarmac´s music.
