about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Tom Woxom

“Gleichtakt”

Tom Woxom – Gleichtakt,
With Gleichtakt, Tom Woxom guides you to the shimmering arpeggios and creaking squarebass order of two good old nintendo gameboys. The synchronized machines are building up a space of digital rhythm and 8-bit sound. Mr. Woxom’s clubsound continiously switches between low and hi-fidelity atmospheres using the simple waveforms from the DMG-01 classic clean and sharp pixelsoundfx to raw and screaming dancefloor bass.

Sweet audio filtering and endless delays take you on a technotic trip back to your handheld years and fast forward on a journey to the green grid of a monochrome screen world.

Listen now to Tom Woxom’s third album, straight out of Germany’s capital of lowbit music : Wuppertal.

Gozne – Transmition Machine

Gozne – Transmition Machine
[pn082]

Gozne

“Transmition Machine”

Gozne – Transmition Machine
The Chilean musician Gozne this 2014 celebrated 30 years of noise. A sound that has several nuances; Circuit Bending experimentation, abandonware, real synthesizers, computers, Mac, PC, iPad, variety of plugins (in OSx, Windows, Linux) and noisy DIY aparats. Joining this results in their particular sound.

“Transmition Machine” (something like “Transmission from the machine”), robotic voice has more than his previous works, he enters a plane almost “Electro” reminding the Germans Kraftwerk, – even to the current staging of Gozne – without being a blatant copy. The sound is analog and deep, varying between 100, 110, 115 and 124 BPM. Minimalist at times, experimental in others. The voices provide spoken word, no song, just phrases that say: Time Bomb, Total Devastation, Technologic Music, Planet of Confusions and more, which provide each subject not only their title, also their particular environment and development.

The audio-visual show called “Random iLive Action” is clearly present in this work since each track was recorded as if it were a show more and only the voices were incorporated later. The random concept remains “nothing goes the same twice” and for that reason, this work can be executed again live or studio but never sound the same, keep the concept of each track, but each party shall again “Randomized” giving to each performance the same character but with different.

Marcio McFly

“Conservare le Macchine è un Dovere”

Marcio McFly – Conservare le Macchine è un Dovere
Vintage avant-garde and prestigious artistic flights, these are the bitter ingredients used by Marcio McFly in his solo project, when pausing from “Cani Giganti”. Inspirations from an analogical parallel world, which is back here again to fascinate machines-addicted by exploring a kind of evolved “futuristic techno-pop”. Artificial flowers are sent to the curious mixture of erudite listeners and new-clubbing figures. “Conservare le Macchine è un Dovere” = “TO PRESERVE THE MACHINES IS A MUST”, follows the path indicated by the previously acclaimed “Farsi le Foto”, constituting an artistic work exploding in a self-created-world where Marcio fishes from street-arts and from his most creative illness. “Conservare le Macchine è un Dovere” is an ambitious release where dancy tracks are formidably intersected with pleasant techno-pop songs. This is a though work for you, 51beaters!

Ancient Lasers

“You In The Future”

Ancient Lasers – You In The Future
Ancient Lasers is comprised of Daniel Anderson (Idiot Pilot/Glowbug/Hyro Da Hero) and Daniel Finfer (Post Human Era and also in Glowbug). Ancient Lasers is music for fans of Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Aphex Twin, M83, The Faint, and Bright Eyes. Vocally, it shifts between a muscular Ben Gibbard and grunts worth of Trent Reznor’s macho swagger. From these juxtaposed elements, Ancient Lasers frontman, Daniel Finfer, finds a cohesive lyrical blend of futurist/transhuman/post human paranoia and optimism.

Ancient Lasers is comprised of Daniel Anderson (Idiot Pilot/Glowbug/Hyro Da Hero) and Daniel Finfer (Post Human Era and also in Glowbug). Sonically the music sits comfortably somewhere between Nine Inch Nails and the Postal Service. If you’re at all familiar with Daniel’s project ‘Post Human Era’ then you’ll recognize updated versions of “Ancestors” “When Are We?” and “Decendants” from the 2007 release on Testtube http://www.monocromatica.com/netlabel/releases/tube080.htm. If you’d like to own a flac or wav version of this album, it is available to purchase as pay-what-you-want from the Ancient Lasers Bandcamp page. All Bandcamp proceeds will go to organizations that are striving to help humanity live longer, develop artificial intelligence, cure diseases, and ensure our survival as a species. http://ancientlasers.bandcamp.com/

“All Day Long”

Brandumize – All Day Long
“All day long” is a 3-seasons EP, which means that its tracks were built up with different influences and tastes when choosing sounds and the way of working on them, from soft and springy trips to hard and rude hammers so you can dance like there is no tomorrow. During the last year Brandumize eventually started to publish music, and then they had the pleasure of playing it in front of a public too; this is their way of celebrating the “received stimuli” meeting new people, trying new tools and instruments and so on…before they’ll lock up themselves in studio again for quite a while.

23RedAnts & moniKa ledesma – droning snow (in brown color)
Mainly based on free improvisation, 23RedAnts, a spanish duo with Macarena Montesinos and Niet F-n moves in different directions mixing noise, melody, glitch music, silences, field recordings, loops and irregular rhythms in new and surprising ways together with moniKa ledesma, an artist able to create and perform music that crosses the genres in an always original and unexpected way with long sessions that drives the listener through a contradictory and hallucinated universe made by acoustic or distorted sounds mixed with taste and attention for details.”droning snow (in brown color)” is a surreal music project, a perception of experimental drone with a series of dynamics motivated by the presence of a cello as added value and stimulus for serious electro environmental raw sounds. An execution in dark ambient style but slightly balanced by an exact experimental noise-avant-garde direction just a little bit far from the traditional dark ambient style

Noa:maR – Welcome to Palestine
Electroacoustic duo formed, under the endless rain of the Costa da Morte (Spain), in 2009 with Niet F-n and B.K. Uvión, an experimental musician of galician origins. “Welcome to Palestine” is an album with rarefied melodies, loops, glitches, field recordings, noises and microsounds merge together to create extemporaneous sonics ambients. Guitar, violin, synth and different objects are treated with pedals and effects or with laptop to elaborate the sound and transform the spaces.

Acrilic Colors – Ab Origine

One of the Kahvi artists whose releases are always consistently epic and cool is Acrilic Colors, and gladly we welcome him back to Kahvi in 2013 with a small but perfectly formed four track 4 entitled Ab Origine.

Expressive textures and chilled ambience build the usual sublime Acrilic style, ranging from the atmospheric ‘last vanishing meter of infinite’ which gets you into the ambient mood, to the ‘just begging to be part of an orb album’ Aboriginal dawn (perhaps the title is a nod towards the ambient masters themselves?)

Enjoy this great release from one of Kahvi’s favourite artists!

Debmaster

“Crevin”

Debmaster – Crevin
With his new opus CREVIN, Debmaster, both inspired and inspiring, gives a kick in the ass to “Dancefloor” music. In continuation with Crev’ Sessions (under ex-label BriEfcAse Tockers), CREVIN presents itself today as the fermata of Crev philosohy, a philosophy for which Sammy Stein offers a definition through the cover he drew.
Dirty and stubborn hip-hop beats tinted with arpeggic bleep bleeps for a dark yet dancing result. CREVIN is falsly awkward, a worked looseness, the antonym of Swag.
It’s a definite nod of the head for the fine amateurs of hip-hop and electro, but also for all the lovers of off-the-wall nights, where sweat mixes genres in a quest for shared discovery. Because CREVINis eclecticism at its foundation and the promise of a blissful marriage of several horizons, for the better and for the worse.

Rotten Lily – Blame!
Is there a genre?
– A Genre? Actually, its not that easy to call it as a genre… somethow a mixture of postrock- trash -electronic and melodic instrumental -Music… maybe. That´s, what the musicians told you, what it is?
– Oh no, this is what i would say. The four musicians of Rotten Lily will never find one opinion… they are very different, in a way. You can hear it in their sound… the harmonie is Bonzai, the bells are made by Fo, someone of them is singing, and someone else is always in rage… but otherwise, the anger in their sound could also be their fights… In anger are the guitars, for sure. Their sounds are running with the drums faster and faster…
