about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

V/A – Anti-Chiptune Chiptune

TWG013

V/A

“Anti-Chiptune Chiptune”

At TWG, we’ve always pushed the odd, the weird, and the emotionally robust. In celebration of the more esoteric corners of the chiptune stratosphere we’ve compiled 19 tracks from some of chiptune’s most notable and talented purveyors of “what?” to showcase what can be done when the term chiptune is examined. From scene veterans as prolific as Alex Mauer and inpuj’s ilkae, to newer blood like Nappes and TWG staples like Guardia and Vegas Diamond. We’ve got the final every Fauxhound track, +Let’s Disinfect!+ covering Bit Shifter’s ‘Activation Theme’ in a folk punk style, an Alex Mauer track written in 1997 and live NES Rom manipulation from DJ NORTON ANTIVIRUS. Plus a whole ton more. Some is unexplainable, some is not chiptune and som is not music, but we hope you enjoy this eclectic selection of oddities. ~~~~Thank you for listening to the ACCSS’ message~~~~

Gridline – Gridline

bump191

Gridline

“Gridline”

Gridline’s first album from bump side. The main theme of Videogame is perception of reality. “The music is inspired by video games and computers in many ways. This time I decided not to use any audio samples, so it is just synths and drum machines. I’d say, on this album Computer is singing about reality outside of him”.

Sunjaman – Outta Here (EP)

DPH012

Sunjaman

“Outta Here (EP)”

Sunjaman is an upcoming producer from Athens, Greece. Being a musician & bass player himself, he has always been exploring the sound of the bass, trying to travel into new territories on his effort to establish his own sound. On the process of exploring the bass territory, he had joined many bands and created numerous side-projects, from punk to hip hop. Nevertheless, dub has always been his main goal.

Inspired by the originality of roots dub and influenced by the modern dub steppa scene, he began to produce and public his tracks online. He made his debut release in 2013 and continued with many collaborations and releases. This is the first time he collaborates with Dubophonic.

The style of Sunjaman’s can’t be described by only one musical genre. It combines many elements of bass music, such as dubstep, jungle, steppa, roots, dubwise. This is eminent in this 7-track EP, consisting of three original tracks and four alternative cuts.

Nuff respect to Northical from the Greek band/soundsystem Kako Synapantima for vocalising “Heavyweight Sound”, as well as Manwel T from Dubkey Records for his version of “Outta Here”. Big shout out also to Jungle Raiders for a very energetic jungle cut of “Witness the day”. The cover art is credited to Katerina Arvaniti.

1981 – Neodimia

brhnet30

1981

“Neodimia”

1981 is an argentinian artist from Concepción del Uruguay, Province from Entre Rios, with an early approach to the musical arts as bass player and experimenting with guitars, keys and percussions. Composing pieces and using an old recorder. In 2004 he started to explore electronic based production. Neodimia derives of this period. An instrumental album with lost words. With the names of the themes we can deduce some concepts: isolation, melancholy, ansiety, plenitude, calm, passion. The metaphoric image of a planet with a eternal autumn, where the mind gives wandering steps, making stops in some short emotions and in the far away memories that talk about reality, this is, maybe, the imaginary sugestion for neodimia.

Originally released by Dice Discos, Argentina.

“NN Vol. 3 True Purpose Of The Electronic Distortion”

“There’s no two without three” or “Three is the perfect number”.. you choose which one is more suitable for introducing this third anniversary compilation that every year gives us the opportunity to prepare this special release of previously unreleased tracks by a lot of great artists. This year, the huge compilation features music by professional artists such as Robert Lippok and Herself which goes a special thanks for having participated with other emerging artists that deserve special treatment that Nostress Netlabel reserves. The introduction of new catalogs of physical media supports such as CDs and your kind donations, has offered to us the opportunity to be able to have the necessary funds to organize events and local concerts and for that we are grateful. We continue our work with pride and hope to be able to do more and learn about new artists and music of great interest.

Weldroid – Cure Light Wounds

Kahvi #344

Weldroid

“Cure Light Wounds”

“Weldroid is back in the Kahvi fold, and with this 9 track album, he’s back up in the top of the Kahvi releases. A few guest artists make an appearance such as Planet Boelex and Mitoma, and with the ambient and electronic nuances that appear throughout this release, there is something for every Kahvi fan.

Fantastic analogue basslines (Diclofenac and Desloratadine) and ambience (Leaving quietly remix) show Weldroid in a different light – from his usual industrial percussion to a more delicate subtle feel.

Check out Flying Fist and Leaving Quietly for some quality production.” (4T/Kahvi Collective)

AN MOKU – the kodama remixes

tonAtom.131

AN MOKU

“the kodama remixes”

a remix album that consists of 12 tracks based on only one (and such a fragile) song could easily fail conceptually. but not here! something very rare happens here instead: the remix artists augment the original mood and prevailing atmosphere of the basis track by adding new layers and aspects instead of varying the same loops and phrases again and again. they complement the fragments in their own, individual ways and supply additional elements, just like a painting evolves from a sketch or characters in a good tv show mature with every episode. twigs are snapped. branches are creaking and crack. leaves crinkle in the background and occasionally the tree ghosts are even dancing. and when they do, they do this in a their own quirky but nevertheless fascinating way.

instead of being a mere collection of variations as one might suggest, “the kodama remixes” is a surprising album which enriches the eponymous title track by one untold aspect after the other. at the same time this album is the documentation of an impressive creative process that sometimes is still present in today’s electronic music and results in such surprising and great releases every now and then.
