about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

El Sob

“Silence is even sexier”

Silence is even sexier if it is your silence!
So shut the fuck up and buy this record to be the sex bomb you’ve always dreamed of.

El Sob is not one of the classic influencers you can find on the internet, He’s the master of the silence. Enjoy his guitar-driven songwriting between Arto Linsday and Bill Frisell as the only thing better than silence is El sob, or it was João Gilberto?

Shinnosuke Sugata – The Actual Decade By Shinnosuke Sugata スガタシンノスケによる実際の10年間 (2011~2020)

Shinnosuke Sugata

“The Actual Decade By Shinnosuke Sugata スガタシンノスケによる実際の10年間 (2011~2020)”

“Elsewhere 2”

released April 21, 2020

all income from this pay-what-you-want record will be donated to Black Lives Matter.

we stand in solidarity with the families of george floyd, breonna taylor, ahmaud arbery, & those of the innumerable other black americans lynched in this country throughout our history.

we stand in unequivocal solidarity with black americans begging for their FULL liberation.

violence happens against humans, animals, the earth. not property. looting & vandalism ARE non-violent protest. burn down the symbology of oppression—this is a powerful gesture. don’t compare it to the loss of life by using the word “violent.”

we are committed to listening, learning, & using our voice to help fight for the change that is so desperately needed in this country.

I’m worried for the fall
And the coming crash
It took us ten years to dig out from the last collapse
And now we’re sliding back

I’m worried for the fall
And the Second Wave
When I drive through town I see it coming
Or maybe it’s here
And no one seems to care.

I’m worried for the fall
And schools and of losing our house
and the last faith that I had in common good
and empathy
This year will hang over the rest of our lives.

Irmão Victor – Cronópio?

Irmão Victor – Cronópio?

Irmão Victor

“Cronópio?”

It’s a sad day for Caveiras and Arabia Saudade: no more the best Portuguese speakers in the lepers produtcions roster. Let’s enjoy one of the early works of Irmão Victor when it was not the star of today.

“I recorded Cronópio? during the year of 2017. It was when I decided to leave university in the city of Porto Alegre and to move to the Island of Florianópolis, to focus on my compositions and recordings. The álbum is in some way about the doubts I had in that time about my live and career choices. I recorded It while moving all the time. It was recorded in Passo Fundo – my hometown -, Porto Alegre, and Florianópolis, in different family and friends houses, and 3 or 4 songs where recorded in Dom Rodolfo Studio. A lot of the instruments were borrowed also, as I was always moving at the time – the situation is not that different now actually… It was released 3rd january 2018.”

SSH – slush

SSH – slush

SSH

“slush”

Slenko, Sinead (Sylvia?) & Hyde
credits
released February 20, 2020

Like Furry & Bukka’s “Party! At Home,” this record is more documentary than album. A collection of moments, caught in the wild and imprinted onto magnetic tape, during the first two nights of the new year.

Track 4, “Dec. 31, 2019,” contains an impromptu recitation of C. M. Slenko’s last poem of the decade. Tracks 6 and 14 capture Henry Hyde’s newest composition in the act of becoming.

Over 20 tracks, “slush” finds SSH re-visiting old memories from Slenko & Hyde’s back catalog, and crawling out of the past into new improvisations, inspirations, and interpretations.

All filtered through substance and sleep-deprivation — and a heavy dose of tape hiss — “slush” is unedited and uncertain, but honest and unwavering in its’ direction — forward, with one last sweeping backward glance, to survey the past for relics we will carry with us into the future.

“Bralitz Vol. 3”

Bralitz 2014 was special. Well, Bralitz is always special. But 2014 – „Aaahhwoo” – probably was our most distinctive and fun festival. Being our first two day festival, it took a lot of work preparing it. We even built an outside stage with our own hands, while getting eaten by mosquitoes.

Still we managed to record some music during the week. For the first time there was a song with German lyrics – that’s special, too.

Bralitz connoisseurs will surely miss Nicolas Falcon’s trade mark voice and songwriting – he couldn’t be there that year. But he will be back for one of the next chapters!

ESDLCP – Historial de Caidas

ESDLCP – Historial de Caidas
[pn058]

ESDLCP

“Historial de Caidas”

(10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE RELEASE)

“Could an electronic musician become a pop artist? ‘Historial de Caídas‘, ESDLCP official debut is a statement in that sense: album and composer prove a style naturally leaning towards in-vogue pop music, using collage to create songs filled with non-existing choruses.

Throughout ten tracks, ESDLCP grabs assorted electronic resources to set up and disjoint material. There’s room for programmming, sampling, jamming, and deconstructing here. Everything merges into popular-music-crossing soundscapes, taking listeners into a tour of varieties, styles, and realms: toying with calm moods in ‘Puertas Adentro’, glancing to our folk music in ‘Un paso al costado’, and even flirting with rock music in ‘Cortina de Humo’, ending up with a high quota of pop in ‘A la velocidad del amor’ and ‘Voluntad de oro’.

This diversity sets up an endearing mapping, a fragmented, nice whole, mixing in subtlety all-pervading electronica and organic fantasies. Measured-Pop doses, songs and schemes in harmony, electronic music communicating, trespassing. A healthy way for this José Manuel Cerda solo project, where transforming song as a standard into an in-flux art is taken to exhaustion.”
