about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Brother, Where Are You?”

Cairo Braga – Brother, Where Are You?
“I’ve been listening to this song for a long time, thanks to a compilation my mom owns in CD, and it has always fascinated me for expressing so well feelings of isolation, longing and bewilderment, although with some kind of hope. Whenever I find myself surrounded by those feelings, it always comes to my mind. This time it came to my voice, by choice and by necessity.” Cairo Braga, musician

“The city is an entanglement of grayscale. The colourful boy is no more than a dimmed shadow blending to the bleakness of the concrete and of the hearts he finds. Solitude is palpable, even though there are signs of life amidst the neon light billboards. Where could be all those who promised love, hope, company? Nobody told him how hard it was to grow living in a brotherhood that exists in name only.” Marco Magoga, illustrator

Mike Adcock – Accord
Here at Linear Obsessional you may have noted we have a fondness for squeezeboxes and free improvisation, which is why we jumped at the chance to release an album by the amazing British accordionist Mike Adcock (once of Accordions Go Crazy amongst others). “Accord” is a collection of improvised duets with a series British improvising musicians – and is a wonderful showcase for Mike’s sensitivity as an improviser and his wonderful musicality as a accordionist.

Samurau – Things left unsaid
“Things Left Unsaid” is not only the testimony of a precise moment, but rather the result of a long research, composition and improvisation done by the band: there’s a common area where musical elements from diametrically opposed musical worlds such as jazz and contemporary music, rock and blues coexist without forgetting the melodic vocation in each composition.

Helicalin & lost-radio – Everyting So Stoned, Everything Is Bad
Музыка огромного мегаполиса, накрывшейся вечным одеялом ночи.
Его многолюдных улиц, где всегда теряются одинокие души и серых домов, где люди превращаются в тех, кто сидит внутри них.

Controversial producer of the 21st century. A visionary, known for his sod-cutting construction building in electronic music, aleatory composition and sound space.
