about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Adduce – ADD+

Adduce

“ADD+”

With the first bars the journey begins and the discreet sound approaches the razor’s edge. The cut is surgical and manages to draw a clean line in the epidermis. From there the strikes go bouncing from one hemisphere to another.

Adduce are not two disassociated brains, but four functioning as a trio. The equilateral triangle between three hard drives with faces, eyes and beards. I have seen them live several times and always consider the difficulty of achieving this level of performance, so absorbed, not by the act of entering the required tempo or playing a certain note, but rather by the unfolding developments that create this conversation that you don’t ever want to end, and which in reality doesn’t ever end, because this inconclusive construction always remains ringing in eternal evolution.

Here is the path that gives meaning to the journey, not the destination, which in the case of Adduce may be many.

The form opens itself and shows us the tracks of a geometric and organic puzzle, sometimes disturbing and other times suggestive, but always an invitation to stroll along the ledge of the highest tower, from where only silhouettes distinguish themselves on the horizon, but which allows the widest panoramas.

ADD+ has no era nor time nor place: it floats in the weightless space of two brains, which I insist seem like four!

ADD+ is a gem that can help us to daydream or to imagine a new kind of retrofuturistic science fiction. The imagination of power!

Konsumprodukt – Pura Sandunga

LARIDAE 071

Konsumprodukt

“Pura Sandunga”

Alejandro Remeseiro aka “Konsumprodukt” has been haunting the internet for quite some time now. And over all these years he has achieved something very rare in this wannabe soundalike world of home music production: he has developed an unmistakable sound of his own – a wild and disturbingly happy hybrid of Bossanova, Disco, Latin and Acid Jazz, spiced up with tons of voice samples. Guaranteed to bring some sunshine into gray autumn days.

Gab Pearson – Free Sprite

TWG010

Gab Pearson

“Free Sprite”

Continuing our crusade against explainable styles and the comprehensible, we here at TWG are incredibly proud to throw this chunk of jaunty and experimental swing-laden gold at you.

Mixing inexplicably catchy phrases with hugely emotive tonal tapestries and a healthy spooning of the esoteric, Gab Pearson exudes subtle and eclectic mastery. Sounding like a jazz-fuelled romp through polka, Russia, and hip-hop, ‘Free Sprite’ is by no means a simple listen. From the touchingly ballad-esque bridges of ‘universalizable’, through to the left-turn rap of ‘movezherb’ and Indian percussion spread throughout ‘action caption’, this EP never starts to make sense, or lose an inch of its huge groove In fact, it manages the insane feat of being both completely bonkers and touchingly emotive in one fell swoop, and all with some giant beats driving it throughout.

Geometrie Variabili

“the Breath”

The lesson of Steve Lacy: starting from a single element like a scale, a broken chord, a sound, a breath in order to work it up by assembling and disassembling, tearing apart and rebuilding. Fragments of ideas taken freely in an exercise of rearrangement always looking for coherence, always trying to get back to basics.

Claudio Nuñez – End of a story

[BS081]

Claudio Nuñez

“End of a story”

“I use the same modus operandi for most of my albums (except the ones that are composed): I lay some free improvised moods (usually on rhythm instruments) that serve as the frame or background for the rest of the piece… I call this process ¨real time compositions¨ as I never have any ideas or plans before the actual recording starts… When I feel that the group or orchestral feelings reflect the mood I stop adding new layers or instruments… On my solo guitar or piano sets & albums I do the same, just once… Sometimes I decide that format for the instrument group that is going to appear on the album (a piano trio, a guitar trio= piano/guitar, bass & percussion), do so that all the pieces are going to feature those elements as in real group or just limit myself to focus on one of my main instruments… Little games that add to the music a little more mystery… or (as in this album) I use any combination randomly…” – Claudio Nuñez

Electric guitar, fretlles bass, percussion & voice by Claudio Nuñez.

Recorded in January 26 & 27 2013 in Caballito, Buenos Aires.

01 – electric dream blues
02 – eternal sorrow dance

Tongue Bundle – Salty Language

[AT044]

Tongue Bundle

“Salty Language”

This work is a tribute to the italian mercury mine of Abbadia San Salvatore. It’s an occasion to shape – both visually and musically – this “epic” element of the collective imagery and milestone of the common history of the community.

This set of paintings seeks, therefore, to harness the aura of the surreal structures, immersed in nature and witnesses the technological past rooted in the mechanics and in the flesh of workers as well.

The music goes inside the structures of the paintings and inside the feelings of the miners, creating a synaesthetic interpretation of the two artistic languages. This soundtrack has been performed live on December 4th 2011 during the vernissage of the exhibition “Acetilene – Sounds And Visions From The Belly Of The Mountain” that took place in the Museo Minerario of Abbadia San Salvatore.

An album to watch and listen.

* Acetylene gas lamp is a simple lamp that produces and burns acetylene which is created by the reaction of calcium carbide with water. It was used by the workers in the mines during the 20th century.

Emiliano Baiocchi is a Berlin based Italian artist who has been working for the last 10 years on developing an expressive visual language mostly through painting. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in various parts of Italy, Germany, France. His works are in private collections in USA, London, Paris, Monaco, Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin, and many Italian cities.
He uses his imagination only to design images that explore painting as a means of pure expression leading to a series of inner landscapes that showcase a singular materiality of accumulated layers of acrylic paint. In his dreamlike images, there is no pre defined intention to figurate a given narration, for he is rather interested in constructing a contrasted space where casualty and accidents are to be balanced with controlled detailed areas in order for a sense of spiritual movement to emerge. He lives and works in Berlin.

Wacky Southern Current – Argonautica

[NS067]

Wacky Southern Current

“Argonautica”

Marco Cervellin, the force behind Wacky Southern Current, returns with his third album on No-Source. Argonautica continues the trend of high quality instrumental albums from Marco. To give Wacky Southern Current one genre is to sell the music short. A wide range of influences fill up each release from Marco. Argonautica is no exception. This is a more guitar-centric album with Kraut influences, particularly on the track “We Are Argonauts.” “French Radio” is a short burst of experimental soundscape, while “Blues in A” is an excellent seven minute jazz workout. Wacky Southern Current heads is new directions with such musicianship that it’s hard to believe they haven’t been there all along. Argonautica is: Marco Cervellin – guitars, bass, keyboards. Gianni “Ian” Garbo – guitars. Giacomo Gatti – drums.
