Rough distorted rhythms and hazy melodies. A combination of raw machine jams and jagged textures of lo-fi pads. Fuzzy aesthetics built by field recordings, samples and personal memories. In his debut on sonic moiré nnls musically refers to streets of his home in Italy. Every track is a musical quote of a drive or journey, every title a reference to an existing road. A musical cartography of the artists environment. This piece portrays a persons connection to its environment and its paths, which is captured in the title of the album.

This album is also available as a limited, elaborate tape version and includes a mirroreffect packaging, booklet, download code, bonus tracks and a sticker.

As per yearly tradition, Jan presents an ep with material that did not fit the full-length album from previous year, in this case “Jan Pierwszy Starszy”. As with every JS e.p. there are no rules and the diversity of genres is breathtaking. Here we have casio-retro-wave, guitar post rock, noisy guitars overlaying, joyful turkish zurna-pop with broken time signature and an anthem of the priviledged man with a sturdy beat. As always on Underpolen netlabel, the lo-fi and DIY atmosphere is everpresent in spirit and on surface.

And as always, at the crossroads we have an unimitable, undefineable organized chaos galloping through psychedelia, krautrock, punk, post-punk, even ambient and grunge, while keeping its lo-fi and homemade charm.

Since 2009, he has traveled half of Russia with occasional forays abroad, playing small bars and cafes. “We Were Coalmine Canaries” is a collection of travel notes, postcards and photographs from his shoebox of memories. Keep it simple: a guitar, a shabby plaid shirt and a couple of friends.

The title could suggest that this is a debut, [“Jan the first the elder”], but it is far from the truth – this album is JS’s 60th (sixtieth!) release overall and 8th under his own name. But at the same time, after years of refining, meandering and looking for his “own sound”, the sworn-lofi experimental casio rocker claims to finally have achieved the middle ground between all his influences and interests on this one. And although jumping between many styles, it is in fact his most balanced yet – synth-pop, post-punk, shoegaze, chillwave, experimental tendencies leave enough space to breathe for pop sensibilities and epic synths – and as usual DIY spirit ensures that nothing is ever too calculated and lifeless – things constantly move, snap to place, click and keep the sounds flowing organically. And all Jan Strach trademarks are still here, distorted synths, some heavy guitars, some lovely delayed noodlings, romantic strings, odd time signatures, noisy outbursts, curious samples, and plenty of plain weirdness.

Proudly released on July 14th as part of the global Netlabel Day 2016, on the best Polish place for the homemade DIY lofi weirdness, Underpolen Netlabel.

Everywhere Kingdom continues the adventure in the improvised/stream-of-consciousness realm but again takes the music in an entirely new direction. Whereas its predecessor was a hypnotic chillout adventure meandering through blurry clouds of warmly distorted synths and subdued guitars, here NOISE and RHYTHM are kings. Pummeling distorted beats, squealing and stuttering synth loops draw the listener into a brutal, yet groovy, experience. Bouncing between primitive hip-hoppy beats (Jellypit, Chimp Thug), industrial (Corrosive, Sno-Blower), techno (Saibaba Goblets, Shrrum Vacuum), ande even making a stop at noisy-casio-ska (When I Die), all slathered in static and distortion, the 9 tracks here make for an uncompromisingly thrilling ride which similarly exhausts and leaves the listener wanting more.

Released on Underpolen Netlabel, home for the raw, weird, homemade lofi treasures.

Electronic Music producer HYPERCUBE (born Rodrigo Passannanti) debuted with a full-length Album (Earobics) on Hypnotic / Cleopatra USA label in 1996, the album received a substantial level of interest among listeners and labels at the time and as result several tracks appeared on various world-wide compilations in the years to follow bringing timeless status to the Album which is still obtainable on major retails today (ITunes, Amazon etc)
Since then HYPERCUBE has been producing and releasing numerous recordings under different names among labels such as Blue Room UK – Klang Galerie (Austria) – Nova Tek (Germany) – Criminal Records UK – SPV (Poland) – Nova Zembla (Belgium) etc including live gigs and a long term collaboration with Producer Andy Hughes (former member of the ORB)
Almost 20 years later HYPERCUBE is releasing his second full-length Album which embraces all sonic explorations and experiences achieved during this time. This Album focuses on experimentation with extensive use of software effect plugins, audio editors and sound processors within the computer environment.

As tradition goes, the Polish purveyor of lo-to mid-fi experimental pop and rock publishes a short collecton of songs that for one reason or another did not make it to the previous year’s full-length. As always kaleidoscopic, stylistically unpredictable and undefinable with regular genre terms, it melts together post-rock passages, distorted casio beats, crazed noise rock, layered askew pop harmonies with irregular time signatures, a chopped up, triumphant organ hymn.

STEKKLO is a Russian electronic band formed solely by Arkady Cherkashin. His production style was created under the influence of psychedelic-pop bands of new wave as well as of Soviet rock and synth-pop bands. STEKKLO music style can be characterized as a synth-popelectroclash with the elements of lo-fi and acoustic, although the musician doesn’t specify the genre of his project. This main idea is harmony of different kinds of sound and it’s styles in art and live on the whole.
