Effluvia is proud to present another collaborative work with Laetitia Schteinberg of Ars Sonor. Her last release on my little netlabel of sheer, unquestioned brilliance was an epic joint effort between more than a dozen artists, and though only one of those fellow sound manipulators joins with Sonor here, it is no less epic, challenging, and empowering. Another wonderful industrial statement on art at large, Meklabor (dmitry Vlasov) is the one who joins. Originally appearing on Effluvia as Sunburzt, here he brings his colorful sonic abrasive rhythms that glitch, crackle, expand, and shatter the inner menagerie, and never before has the shattering glass of lovecrafted critters of glass so punch-packing. Four tracks where these rhythms echo through haunted dance floors and cemetery raves. A filter of psychonautic junkyard bliss that will surely get your blood pumping with synapse pleasing vibrations, though don’t get the vibe that these tracks aren’t still a challenge to the untrained ear. A Rorschach test of psychedelic catacombs that may tickle something less pleasant than the funny bone. All of this mixed perfectly with Ars Sonor. Broad, dense ambient tundras as far as the ears can hear, a distant blizzard screaming whispers of despair inside your dreaming head, yet with such ecstasy at the same time. This album, as masterfully conjured as anything I’ve heard of either of these musical savants, will sure digest well for your ears. Falling through corridors, fingers bleeding into the reeds, the volcanoes wait for the footsteps to ascend, loudly, with a rhythm your arachnid ears cannot ever hope to hear. Thank you very much for your lovely sounds Meklabor, and to Laetitia Schteinberg, I hope, we hope, that you are doing well!
Luís Antero: field recordings
Locais: Lisboa e Coimbra
Equipamento: Zoom H4 e Zoom H2N
Subterrestrial presents “Echotron” a unique mix of deep ambient soundscapes and retro lounge/exotica tracks featuring analog synths and drum machines. The tracks are arranged like an LP with the ambient material on “Side A” while “Side B” features the more beat-oriented tracks. Depending on your musical interests you’re bound to enjoy at least one side of this “virtual LP,” maybe both?
Though I had images of a portual town as Graham Greene visited on his travels, I doubted very much if ‘Port Saïd’ would have been the right title.
I also thought of ‘Cargo.’ I am surprised by the calmness of the piece, and a feeling of warm summer days. At some points it feels like walking through narrow winding streets.
Some of the tapes I used in this radio performance contained snippets of conversations, meetings, evenings with friends, all bringing back memories that lay dormant on one of the shelves of my subconsciousness. It was a pleasure to go there again.
‘Return’ was first played 18. january 2012 on the radio show ‘A Maïzing Session With…’ hosted by Anton Mobin in his apartment in Paris.
I used various cassette players and dictaphones, an effect pedal and a small box full of tapes.
Its rustling. Dripping. Playing. It makes zzz.
Moving in lines. Sounds are traveling. Hopefully melancholy.
It seems to be always the same persons, which are fighting in mind. Keeping Silence. A prospecting of Sound?
Views are floating, its still a Trial. Elusive.
A Saxophon tells us. And Trains. And a Piano… which could never decide!
If there is a possibility of listening waves beating? Or do they rythm the beat?
Misadventure of a Meaty Machine is Cherly Kacherly’s third release following “Drop a 4 Note Soundtrack” and the self titled debut EP.
like its predecessors it was also recorded at home, using a reluctant microphone and a text to speech software that was put in charge of the vocal parts.
This is the first album by Granjaescuela, previously published on Bandcamp and consists of 12 tracks. They admit the influence of bands like Hella or Lightning Bolt, but more funny. 16 minutes that will not leave you indifferent. Welcome to Granjaescuela!
Krasnoyarsk, Russia. That’s where this music comes from.
It feels like the other side of the planet. It’s close to Mongolia and Kazakhstan and no where near Moscow. Over there, three guys came together and created Eholow. Their sound (something in between intelligent dance music and post-rock) got picked up by Nu_Aura Netlabel. An interesting new label which combines music and illustrations for every track. Sure enough, this did get our attention and brought us to the two tracks presented to you today: niti and Нутации (nutazii).
They speak to me on an experimental unconventional level, but hey, don’t take my word for it… check it out!

From first to the last note “Orange and Black Cloud” fascinate the listner. This release is a “sound portal” toward futurist imaginary sceneries. Abstract and Sci-Fi atmospheres are pleasantly contagious. An Aos Crowley precious gift…maybe from the future…
“Seven mirrors” is the first ambient album by Nunun. With Massimo Discepoli playing synths and keyboards instead of drums, and Cesare Discepoli more electronically treated than usual guitar, in these seven improvisations the duo explores many different sonic textures and moods. Haunting melodies and weird dissonances, celestial soundscapes and earthy distortions, countless melodic fragments and free improvisations, this is music for both the intellect and the soul.
The album cover is an original work of italian painter Nascar; the album will be soon available in a special printed edition
Amazing things are happening in 2012. First, it’s winter and it’s cold. But above and to warm your ears, Fresh Poulp Records, Marée Bass and Propuls Akt propose to you a new Ep 100% dubstep, fat and bulky. An idea first initiated by Marée Bass and Propuls Akt where we find the title Bad Conqueror by the french producer PhoniAndFlore in his original version. This track is accompanied by five remixes, dark, and despite the common material, introspective. Among the artists are Vini Selecta, Uzul, N Tone, Yamoy and U.Stone (already with us on Dub Tentacles Vol.2).
Release shaped deeply personal musical exploration; the end result is recorded on this album. Using the new workflow and record sound base is tailored from carefully recorded outside shots elements, combined with a sound analogy, the sound that comes out of the primordial darkness, devoid of earthly laws, sound ribbed electronic shamanism with massive sound spaces filled with pulsating rhythmic waves. Album smooth and warm furnishings are still somewhat more ambiguous, leaving listeners a room to find theirs version of the journey through sinister and mysterious world of recorded sounds.
First breath of life for DubCombe Records comes from Hungarian producer DU3NORMAL and his Early Grey EP.
A cup of tea is a moment of break, relax and peaceful meditation; based on those concept DU3NORMAL has chosen the title of his first EP to represent the inner status of his mind while producing DUB.The release floats on heavy kick drum beats in accordance with the stepper British style for an EP that will make you sweat from the first note!
Hydra is the solo project by catalan artist Adrià Bofarull. Bofarull has been involved in various electroacoustic projects focusing its compositional approach on the idea of sampler. This L’Antimatèria its the third instalment on the series of releases focused on that very project. Before, Hydra has been released in Exp_Net netlabel (curated by good friend Javier Piñango) and self released as a CDr through good old Myspace platform.
the newest from pan y rosas is follow lonely roads by last king of poland, who describes it as a piece about alienation. using a vocal processor and a loop pedal, lkop transforms his voice and the feedback generated within the recording space into machine drone loops that give way to echo chamber chorus and lonely droid bird cries. throughout the piece satellites return from deep space in search of communion; pulsing swirls throb and fade; and low tone monastery ambiance counts the ebb and flow of breaths.
