un’ is built on a linguistic motif, with each track’s title (whether in German or English) beginning with the prefix ‘un’, such as ‘unRest’, ‘unStet’, ‘unBalanced’, ‘unStern’ and ‘unErwartet’. the album’s structure allows each track to function independently, while collectively forming a narrative that is intricately detailed and gains depth with repeated listening.
musically, this album marks xenoton’s shift towards more ambient and cinematic soundscapes. while it may seem like a departure from previous work, it maintains continuity with his artistic journey. “un” continues to blend deep, reflective soundscapes with his signature melodic style. the album echoes his previous works ‘crescent’ (2020) and ‘traveller’ (2015), but also explores new sonic spaces, offering a sophisticated and layered listening experience, a journey into the unexpressed and undiscovered in sound.

Scheduled for release via Proper Cuts Recordings as a highly limited lathe cut vinyl on December 22nd, 2k23 is “Back To The Funk”, probably the final release of the year for the ever active underground production force that is Uelsen’s finest Sascha Müller. “Back To Funk”, the sole track on this one-sided 12″ release, caters a fast-paced, hounded and functional take on highly percussive ToolTechno which will most likely resonate with the seasoned and experienced DJ’s out there due to its main focus on pure efficiency and loop-oriented nature.

Presentamos aquí el disco inédito que los Suicidas en el Bosque Negro grabaran para la compañia CBS en el año 1979. El disco nunca salió a la luz por lo que la fecha que se puso de lanzamiento tiene que ver con la fecha de finalización de la grabación. El orden del disco no es real, se respetó el orden de la grabación que se encontró en dos cintas Fostex de 4 canales que tenían escrito los títulos tentativos en el detalle de la caja.
Como todo lo concerniente a los Suicidas poco es lo que se sabe acerca de como se grabó, como se grabó y sobre todo por qué nunca salió a la venta. De lo que se escucha se puede deducir que utilizaron sintetizadores, una caja de ritmos analógica, bajo y voz.
Acerca del rescate de este documento histórico podemos decir que las cintas fueron digitalizadas y masterizadas débilmente ya que la grabación original contenía muchísima saturación.
Agradecemos a Juan Valenzuela director artístico de la compañía CBS quién nos contactó con Damián Zotello para poder dar fe que la cinta que se nos enviará era realmente de los Suicidas en el Bosque Negro.

This ep is a result of an evening session conducted in 2020. It mixes rhythmic patterns of the previous full length Thuoom album Luonto with the sounds of a live performance at Ambient Evening “Lux Archipelago” November 22nd, 2019 where Thuoom, using exclusively nature field recordings, performed alongside other musicians. The resulting sounds are more ambient-y than rhythmic, hence the use of moniker Thuuooom.
Instruments used on this record: Field recordings captured with a binaural Soundman OKM II Classic Solo microphone attached to a Zoom H4n Pro portable recorder.
