about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

“Bralitz Vol. 2”

At the end of August in 2013, the stage in the old Bralitz railway station served two different purposes: It was the epicentre of aaahh record’s first festival – and the days before, the former waiting hall was a recording studio. This was where the festival anthem “Miss You“ was created. And at the festival’s finale, the crowd joined in.

A Symbiotic Experience is a project created for HAMFUGGI Records,
but we really love Non Exclusive Concept so we chose to do a double release. More informations here https://hamfugi.wixsite.com/hamfuggirecords/a-symbiotic-experience

It’s a perfect horsnorme music example, so it’s not relevant to link it to any musical styles.

Samething about the influences you may find it linked to nothing else than the music of the two protagonists which is allready a lot because they are quite eclectic.

Another thing, the visual side is an important part of this project.

ESDLCP – Historial de Caidas

ESDLCP – Historial de Caidas
[pn058]

ESDLCP

“Historial de Caidas”

(10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE RELEASE)

“Could an electronic musician become a pop artist? ‘Historial de Caídas‘, ESDLCP official debut is a statement in that sense: album and composer prove a style naturally leaning towards in-vogue pop music, using collage to create songs filled with non-existing choruses.

Throughout ten tracks, ESDLCP grabs assorted electronic resources to set up and disjoint material. There’s room for programmming, sampling, jamming, and deconstructing here. Everything merges into popular-music-crossing soundscapes, taking listeners into a tour of varieties, styles, and realms: toying with calm moods in ‘Puertas Adentro’, glancing to our folk music in ‘Un paso al costado’, and even flirting with rock music in ‘Cortina de Humo’, ending up with a high quota of pop in ‘A la velocidad del amor’ and ‘Voluntad de oro’.

This diversity sets up an endearing mapping, a fragmented, nice whole, mixing in subtlety all-pervading electronica and organic fantasies. Measured-Pop doses, songs and schemes in harmony, electronic music communicating, trespassing. A healthy way for this José Manuel Cerda solo project, where transforming song as a standard into an in-flux art is taken to exhaustion.”

Budhaditya Chattopadhyay – The Nomadic Listener

Budhaditya Chattopadhyay – The Nomadic Listener
[Gruen 201]

Budhaditya Chattopadhyay

“The Nomadic Listener”

This is a parallel release from The Nomadic Listener – an augmented book project on migration, contemporary urban experience, and sonic alienation. The book is composed of a series of texts stemming from psychogeographic explorations of major contemporary cities, such as Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, Leipzig, The Hague, Graz, London, Kolkata, Vienna, Delhi, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Amsterdam, New York, Paris, and others, through situated writing and field recording. Each text is an act of contemplative listening, where the artist/author records his surrounding environment and attempts to attune to the sonic fluctuations of movement and the passing of events. Each corresponding sound attempts to trace these nomadic interactions in unedited field recording. What surfaces is a collection of meditations on the minutiae of life movingly interwoven with the author’s own memories, associations, desires and reflections. The release and publication are entwined by a QR code for an augmented listening experience that draws up a tender map of contemporary cities, and the often lonely, surprising, and random interactions found in urban navigation.

[BS450054]

Tha Silent Partner

“SIX ONNA 7 (Part 8)”

Nearly eight years after he coined the phrase “SIX ONNA 7” for the first volume of his innovative fortyFive sub-series (which has gone on to have a life of its own with other artists releasing their own volumes), Gregory ‘Tha Silent Partner’ Davis returns with Volume 8, this time closing it out with a THANK YOU to those heroes in the medical field without whom the world would be in much more dire straits. Download and enjoy.

Thanks once again to TSP for delivering some great new music. I’d also like to echo his sentiment with a sincere thank you to him and all in the medical field. Thank you all so much for risking your lives everyday for everyone of us.

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. C-Doc

“SIX ONNA 7 (Division 5: BLACKOUT!)”

For the first time in 3 years, C-Doc returns with a solo release. This time around it’s the latest installment in his own series of SIX ONNA 7s (a fortyFive sub-series originally created by Tha Silent Partner in 2012). Inspired by the giant public outcry for significant change in how black folks are treated in the United States, “Division 5: BLACKOUT!” is music for and from the times we’re living in. Download, listen & when done… find some way to do your part to bring about change.

Rest In Power to all those who have lost their lives at the hands of Police. We have to make sure that they haven’t died in vain.

Hey Doc… it’s been a minute since we’ve had the pleasure of dropping a C-Doc release, I’m glad it’s this. We’ll let the fans determine its significance, however I feel that any art speaking truth is incredibly important. Thank you, sir!

Centrul Isteric – KISI

Centrul Isteric – KISI
[mhrk245]

Centrul Isteric

“KISI”

Centrul Isteric (FR: Centre Hystérique; EN: Hysterical Center) is the brainchild of Romanian A/V artist Gili Mocanu, better known for his abstract electronics project, Somnoroase Păsărele, which saw over a dozen recordings released on Baba Vanga (CZ), Anti-Everything (US), Czaszka (UK), OBS (RU), OTA and URUBU (PT). His style is distinctive, utilizing atypical synth sounds and asymmetrical or non-rhythmic elements, with several successful incursions into minimalist ambient/drone as well.

When not orchestrating his own samples as Somnoroase Păsărele, Gili has initially (circa 2009-10) used Centrul Isteric as a side-project for messing around with rhythmic loops extracted from popular music – sometimes matching the BPM while other times not. Over time, the experiment has evolved into long-form spectral explorations (2010-16), and has recently settled into a 3rd approach to “organized hysteria”, as illustrated by KISI. On this 36-minute piece, which utilizes source materials provided by his SP companion, Miru Mercury, only the 3 or 4 opening seconds of each soundpiece are sampled and looped, in such ways that would allow for maximum dramatic effect with each subsequent maneuver. KISI thus marks a shift from previous formless ‘agglutination’ to more considered ‘superordination’ in time and space.

Following from a surprise return to Vulpiano Records after a 7 year departure with The Awakening earlier in 2020, King Elizabeth is back again in short order with This is Not My Church, traversing a variety of moods and styles through incredible song craft and energy. As always, highlighting a favorite is a challenge, but my vote goes to the sultry grit of “A Mighty Man”.

Nesting Error – Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi

Nesting Error – Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi
[NN_EP035_06_20]

Nesting Error

“Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi”

A musical breath held and started after many years without a specific motivation. Infused life and breath with full lungs for the debut album dating back to 2007 ignored, kept in the drawer and never released for any label for reasons related to recordings and overall production with then somewhat limited means belonging to the low-fi concept subsequently re-evaluated. Nesting Error are a long-lived and complex duo. Their music close to genres related to digital and analog electronic music of Central European inspiration often takes the listener’s hand to lead him travels through time and history thanks also to the wise and never banal use of samples. In “Il diluvio del 1931 e altri disagi” a meteorological event of exceptional gravity that happened in their Palermo in 1931 is taken as a pretext when a flood of frightening propositions brought the entire city to its knees far from prepared or accustomed to events of the generally reaping several victims. The biblical term “deluge” expands, amplifies and extremes several more or less global spatio-temporal references which at the time of the release of the album evidently had to represent real psychological “hardships” fully narrated in each piece as world wars; the era of the planetary homeland; unfortunate American and Italian presidencies; the chilling deception of the concentration camp of Theresienstadt in a tragic game of jumps between past and present where human and cultural disintegration remains the only link. A circle that closes just where it started, the Second World War and its famous incomprehensible encrypted and encrypted messages that hid strategic information of a world completely out of control under a flood that leaves no way out in an unfortunate epochal context that is repeated without ever end.

“Implozjo Wizja! EP”

Hopping into subspace, Diving into prememory etc – – My first work after logging out of facebook with teh beginning of this year – as per tradition, scampering heap of sounds played half-asleep within the last few years, drawing from everyt=where and nowhere. We have looped brass bands from Jasna Góra, something borrowed from a cassette bought at a pawn shop, preprogrammed, non-4/4 casio beats with psychedelic guitar solos , birds over the Rusałka lake. Every evening I stand before an impossible choice – to play a bit more, barely standing upright, or to go to sleep at normal time at least once – here is the result of these dilemmas – good night for now -_-
