about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

THE SCHIZOID – Displaced And Altered

THE SCHIZOID

“Displaced And Altered”

In 2019, Canadian digital hardcore musician SCHIZOID celebrated 20 years of extreme musick with the release of new project THE SCHIZOID “Pariah”, an all-black metal solo release. Those 7 songs took on themes of elemental destruction and dark psychology, inspired by CREBAIN, LEVIATHAN, XASTHUR, BLUT AUS NORD.

Now, “Displaced And Altered” presents the PARIAH album’s black metal furies filtered through an industrial/electro lens, rendering electroshock treatments of the tracks by the underground’s current finest, including SADISTICIAN, LAF-O, OXYGENFAD, HIMIKO, RIOT VIRUS, NOT HALF, HYPERDRIVER & more!

“Stand Alone Complex”

The album “Stand Alone Complex” arises from a reflection on the cyborg and the ideas embodied in the anime film “Ghost in the Shell” by Masamune Shirow, which seeks to reference post-club music from the futuristic dystopia that is currently pursuing us, while dealing with the dilemma of the soul and what or who owns that ghost. The Zeitgeist (this is originally a German expression that means the “spirit” (Geist) of “time” (Zeit) and refers to the current intellectual and cultural climate) generates some shock and reflection on what the body is and the nature of the other.

“Stand Alone Complex” contains music that goes from drone-like structures (“A Structural Point”), through more IDM tracks (“Riding the Noise”) to techno (“Der Inner Geist”, a direct translation of the inner ghost), to more industrial and post rave expressions (“The Harshness Factor” and “TGVBKJGFC”), until the last track (“Surveillance”), which speaks about the issue of surveillance though sounds that are more electronic and less structured by genre labels.

This disc originated with an approximately 20-minute recorded session made in 2014 (https://vimeo.com/105399073) and this subsequently laid the groundwork for a new interpretation of the books of Donna J. Haraway (Simians, Cyborgs and Women: The Reinvention of Nature, 1991) and Kim Toffoletti (Cyborgs and Barbie Dolls: Feminism, Popular Culture and the Posthuman Body, 2007).

It was mixed in FBK studios in Barcelona by Jose Jünemann and Joan Lavandeira and mastered by Jose Jünemann (2019).

Teeth Of Divine

“Act I – Genesis”

“This album is a long-standing exploration of the juxtaposition between physical presence and mental boundaries that emerged during the creative process. Our bodies are matter physically present in the present reality, but our psychic capacities can be distanced, reaching parallel inter-temporal spaces. They aim at creating internal and external associative representations between presence – happening – reflection directed at the senses. The immediate primal feeling in one present is lost or renewed, disappears or reappears after nothing is the same again.”

Drehton – ini

Drehton – ini
[phokes138]

Drehton

“ini”

Phonocake-Artist Drehton moves the knobs and keys to the next experimental level. With references to trance, IDM, techno and now and then dub, he shapes the sound of a hyperworld: full of jumps, speed, variety, intensity, clear superabundance. This is where the control takes place, this is where the chips glow. Full of details this HiTekk Electronica purrs full of longing in the metropolis of chip design sound.

The 21st century replaces any category concept of ours. The concepts blur and exceed conventions through freer expression. Freed from any category corset, Drehton presents new experiments in tempo, arpeggio & melody, in its very own sound and recognizable style. Partly the stuff is insanely experimental, especially the first tracks. They tempt us to brain explosions that dissolve Koan like. From song 8 it gets a bit straigther.

Lila

“Septimo Continente”

Argentine producer who has traveled all her life accompanied by Music in all its forms, whether dancing or as an interpreter.
Many years she was a cellist and has gone through several academic music institutions, now is when she begins her journey as a producer to begin to strengthen her stimuli with this new discipline. She does not have a defined genre, her own sound makes rhythmic references to Techno, Environmental Sounds and indie-style musical plans that accompany an intrinsic incorporation into her themes.
His voice is a main instrument in his compositions, both in main planes and in atmospheric environments.
His themes are vintage, as he considers a very personal musical ritual; That is why she does not select genres to work with, but lets her flow through small decisions based on sounds that attract her attention, therefore, she creates music through her emotions.
