Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. Philippe Neau – A Quiet Place

Philippe Neau – A Quiet Place
[mhrk325]

Philippe Neau

“A Quiet Place”

“”A quiet place” is an album where we are immersed in the imaginary and sound vision of a motionless traveller. This trip was built from field recordings recorded in real places, inside or outside. To these sounds are added analog ambient sounds. This sound mass is worked, mixed, kneaded, “sculpted” to create a “new landscape”, stratified and polyphonic. This vision took shape during more or less dreamy encounters and walks with the elements of the landscapes. The sounds mingled and overlapped, as did the places, gradually in my memory. From layer to layer, I let the “sound material do” in order to prolong its meditative states. I followed the vibrations. The sound material has thickened to give shape to a long reverie in one/several imagined/invented places, sort of separate spaces …. non-places? My thoughts and sounds are thus fixed around the trees, the clouds, the light, the movements of the sun, the sea, the water, the birds, the night, the wind, the little secret noises, the displacements. Of the fullness of the landscape, of the perception of the landscape, of the impressions. From the sound of my mind. From the presence…”

BRITNEY25 – forget mi note

BRITNEY25 – forget mi note
[LCNLP156]

BRITNEY25

“forget mi note”

English Translation Below)
Le netlabel le Colibri Nécrophile présente forget mi note par Britney25
“Unforgettable Music for the Forgotten People”

The Necrophile Hummingbird netlabel presents forget mi notte by Britney25.
“Unforgettable Music for the Forgotten People”

Whatever the waves, they always come back to the beach, as surely as the arm of a record player, even if it disappeared long ago under the rubbish, themselves covered with potentially fatal green algae.

If a punk spirit exists, it’s not a poser thing, but a visceral one, like the meeting of the urgency of the now future and the living skinned who refuses to let oneself be crushed by the machine of the system. Exhibition of skin-deep sensitivity, the echo of our shared nightmares, in an orgy of sound. Resistance to suffering. Bearer of hope, not even hurt !
Resistance to oblivion, salt on the wounds and in the middle of the vomit, the overflow of emotion, blood clots that are priceless. Oscillating on the border of the sublime and the grotesque, revolutionary ? Only authenticity changes the game and makes us want to scream too. We are all born to die. So might as well have fun with the grace of those who have nothing to lose. Not even dead yet. Don’t forget, don’t forget anything.

It seems that horsnorme music has always been too punk for experimental music audiences and too experimental for punk audiences. Britney25’s music is horsnorme, with no assigned place, always on the move, never where you expect it, alive until the last moment… and beyond. It is a joy to welcome the latest offspring of this stateless traveler who refuses to return to her niche in the society of the spectacle.

By the way, a big fuck to the French State which is experimenting a new RSA (the french solidarity allowance) with forced labor to make those who create on the margins disappear a little more… in the hands of the firms.

Grosso Gadgetto – Come With Me
[mhrk323]

Grosso Gadgetto

“Come With Me”

Since 2002, far away from the classic formats, Grosso Gadgetto puts his mark in contemporary indie hip-hop, the music of movies, contemporary shows and video games. He voluntarily destabilizes the listener by these sound deluges, under a fire nourished of scary atmospheres, drone layers, pervert breakbeats, metal guitars and catchy and addicting melodies, perfect soundtracks for a sick and claustrophobic science fiction movie that John Carpenter would probably not deny.

20 years on in Grosso Gadgetto’s extraordinary artistic endeavours, we are delighted and proud to present his Mahorka debut “Come with me”, coming out also as beautiful limited edition cassette, as a notable addition to his impressive discography.

“Utopie 13”

Asshole Galaxy – Irreparable Damage

Asshole Galaxy – Irreparable Damage
[mhrk324]

Asshole Galaxy

“Irreparable Damage”

“Irreparable Damage” is the debut album of Asshole Galaxy – a band of two angry artists really mad at all the assholes ruining the world, channelling some music through.

“You’re wrong […] I said quietly. “I’d love to have access to all this shit you believe. I’d love to be able to summon someone who’s responsible for this fuck-up of a creation. Because then I’d be able to kill them. Slowly.”
–Richard Morgan

Angry artist #1: Weldroid. The 8-bit emulation of an electrical engineer, a cgi artist and a coffee connoisseur merged into one person and left alone in the middle of a forest in the middle of a forgotten peninsula built of discarded and ancient electronic devices and lots of copper wire. Those little robotic things living in the forest tend to like the noises he makes…

Angry artist #2: Jeremy Rice. Boston-area lover of synthesizers and synth music, striving to make his own electronic music with a curious sense of introspection and mystery. As Abdicant and Curious Inversions he has notable releases on Kahvi Collective and Mahorka. Also in Cognition Delay with Paul Alexander (Pandacetamol, Fluffy Inside) on Rednetic and in The Hive Projectwith Anthony Paul Kerby (The Circular Ruins) on DataObscura.

“When you feel terrible about the unnecessary loss of life, value and sanity: get together with a friend, establish a band, make some noise. Somehow turn that murderous frustration into waveforms. […] not the last time you hear from us.” –Weldroid

Released 22.11.22 as free (cc) download and special digipak CD edition.

[Slippery People]

Scuare x sow

“Slippery People”

“How can you pretend that you’re free when you’re so tied to yourself?”

“Slippery People” is a collaborative project between Austin based rapper Scuare, and Portland based production group sow. The catchy dark synth pop melodies coupled with a beat scene aesthetic serve to emphasize the themes of the project through their contrast to the subject matter. Scuare’s past works have mostly focused on his internal monologue and the way his interactions with the world shape negative feelings about himself and inform his growth. “Slippery People” aims to focus on external his observations of societal trends and mechanisms that seem to all operate on similar principles; leaching off of empathy for personal gain.

Cistem Failure – Cistem Failure

Cistem Failure – Cistem Failure

Cistem Failure

“Cistem Failure”

Content Warning for the album – in our songs we talk about sexual assault, misogyny, police abuse, animal exploitation, the prison system, and state repression as consequences of living under capitalism and patriarchy. Its important to discuss and open up space for these topics so that we can fight domination and hieriarchies, but this takes a lot of strength when we are surrounded by the reality of this brutal system and sometimes those reminders are too strong and triggering even in the things that we love. so we hope that by giving some content warnings (some songs have a bigger one than others) that everyone can make their own decisions about what to be confronted by.

After some times of playing music on the street together, and writing songs, this album and band was given life.
We feel that we life in a very absurd time, where alot of things are changing. We want to create more of a politcal presence within the punk and radical scene, and create a space for female associated people, queer and trans folk to play music, join campaigns, do direct actions and feel empowered. Patriarchy is alive and kicking, even within our radical movements and we feel that this has to be confronted.

We feel our music should be free to download for everyone, that is why our bandcamp says, name your price. But ofcourse, touring and making cds costs some money sometimes, so if you feel like supporting us in that way (if you can) then thats cool!

Joko13 – Salami Tactics

[COM10]

Joko13

“Salami Tactics”

Joko13’s latest release takes you on a musical journey from 2004 back to 2001. Starting off with the brand new mech-warrior anthem ‘Salami Tactics’, the Austrian artist once again defines his trademark sound of dark stomping minimal where the specific sound aesthetic is based on the use of digital artifacts and tight repetitive beat structures supply the necessary framework. ‘Morphine’, a track created in 2002, refers to the same principle and the outcome is a uplifting tech-house tune with a casual swing. Going back another year, ‘Part Level Boredom’ with its extensive use of spoken word, delay effects and noise represents the somewhat more experimental side of Joko13’s musical work. Enjoy another fine Comatronic release!

PISITAKUN – Kongkraphan

PISITAKUN – Kongkraphan
[YESNO 102]

PISITAKUN

“Kongkraphan”

Thai musician and visual artist Pisitakun releases his new album “Kongkraphan”. The album will be released for free download on November 24th, 2022 by the Indonesian label Yes No Wave Music, which has released music from Gabber Modus Operandi, Raja Kirik, Senyawa, and Zoo.

In 2010, there was a protest by the Red Shirts, or United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), to oust the government from the coup d’etat that occurred in 2006. At the protest, the rally was dispersed by armed soldiers, causing a large number of injuries and deaths.

The upcoming album ‘Kongkraphan’ —meaning Invulnerable— was made to present the forgotten voices and sounds of unjustified wrath. The sound used was taken from the video clips recorded by the demonstrators from the actual incidents. All video and audio clips are testimonies used in court proceedings to find the culprit at the time, so as to reveal the truth and restore justice to the deceased demonstrators. It’s a mix of Noise music: the confusion and sadness occurring at the protesting sites, the rhythm that shakes the nerves, the rhythm of intense rage.

In short, this album of Pisitakun contains a variety of anger, sadness, confusion, as well as the power of joy and hope to change the country —the driving force of the demonstration in 2010.

‘Kongkraphan’ is the name of a type of Thai talisman that gives the power to be invincible. In this album, the term stands for the ideology and battle of the people in the protest that has never faded. It’s still invulnerable, passing down the philosophy from generation to generation until today. There are 8 tracks with titles taken from the date of the protest events and arranged chronologically according to the time span of the incident.
