about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Hypnos – Vindictiveness

Hypnos – Vindictiveness
[mhrk298]

Hypnos

“Vindictiveness”

With his third album Hypnos drives us on a journey of sonic invasion, a journey into the personal ways of the artist in dealing with narcissistic and vindictive behavior in our society, where we are constantly exaggerating our life stories and achievements in an aura of overinflated importance, to the point that we become defensive when questioned or when someone challenges our conscious or subconscious idea of superiority.

“Vindictiveness” is Hypnos’ most structured, most complex release to date, revealing yet another side of the project, inspired by club techno aesthetics, with constructions derived from and building on early rave music rhythms and sequences and everything merged into swathes of ambient fields of long, calm and heavy drones.

Cheap Polaroid – No More Love

Cheap Polaroid – No More Love
[gen003]

Cheap Polaroid

“No More Love”

Returning this time with a world of heartbroken songs chopped and screwed to warp reality, is No More Love. Descriptions of songs below:

“Breaks My Heart”
Breaks My Heart, was just me screwing around in Ableton Live and taking one of my favorite songs of right now, I really love the intro part with the strings, I knew this was gonna be the intro because I wanted the listener to be in this mood of desire and heartbreak.

“Nowhere To Run”
So I had this Dua Lipa instrumental that I had never used for anything so I decided why not, I used a couple instruments to just layer and add this sort of weird clashing moody ambience that really just gave this sense of catchiness but also uneasiness.

“In The Darker of Your Mind”
So this track is one of the more simpler ones, but I liked messing around with it and just kinda listening to this screwy rhythm and the song just has the melancholy dance vibe to it that always felt like saying the phrase “It’s tough but we’ll get through it.”

“Just To Love You”
Just To Love You, is also simple but I wanted people to really focus in on the lyrics because you have this person singing about wanting to love someone, just until they love themselves, and I think that’s a pretty strong feeling.

“World of Heartbreak”
So I took this CONSUMER PRODUCT song that I really liked called Wireless and just slowed the hell out of the first minute with the vocal chant and the chiptune beat which is my favorite part and then I slowly layered on these instruments to give this really ambient, reflective moody track.

“Sepia Tint”
This was a scrapped intro track for another project I was doing, and I just took these orchestra loops and chopped up some Lana vocals and pitched them weirdly and I loved it. But it acts in this album, as a interlude and intro to the next track.

“Summertime, My Time”
I love Summertime Sadness, everytime I listen to it and Born to Die, suddenly I’m not Collin Reyes but I’m this epic persona, this majestic movie character, I’m the one at the credits scene standing over the lifeless body of a fallen hero, I’m free and so I took that song and I wanted to just chop it up in such a way that I loved it. I used the remix to fit the dance vibe and because I think the remix just adds this understated intensity.

“Like a Diamond”
Cola is such a weird song because it’s so, like America-core but it feels like a parody and a mockery of patriotism and modern day sexiness in America and to me, it’s this trash magic display of the higher class and the affluent but ultimately the hugest ego in the world. Like lying to yourself to be alright.

“This Dream of Mine”
This was a scrapped Pt, II. to a song of mine from 2020 called Aura but I never released it but it was so majestic and so peaceful so I put it as an ending track to be like, I just wanna live in this dream of mine, forever.

Invisible Illusion – Electronic Control [LP]

Invisible Illusion – Electronic Control [LP]
[LCNLP142]

Invisible Illusion

“Electronic Control [LP]”

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents Electronic Control [LP] by Invisible Illusion.
“Kairological Music for Conditioned People”.

I’m very happy that the second Invisible Illusion is a split with ardleg. Because ardleg is a companion of sound explorations since many years, in the collective KWAY archive.org/details/NomenclatureGenerale or next in La 6ème République archive.org/details/ROSA_LUX_La_6Eme_REpublique also for Zone fusION zonefusion.bandcamp.com/album/now-matter despite it’s still not published on the netlabel.
We are no more living in the same town but we try to keep collaborating thru time & space. Like I did with Humanfobia for the first invisible illusion TOHU WA BOHU archive.org/details/Invisible_Illusion_Tohu_Wa_Bohu_Disc_1
I sent the raw improvisation session to ardleg and he created these upgraded tracks listenable on the EP.
And next I reworked a little the raw tracks adding several layers to two of them, reading poetry on another one and that’s the LP.
I prefer called them EP and LP to avoid any order. That one would be before or after is irrelevant. You can listen first one or the other or both at the same time it’s up to you, like for the world : alternatives are better.
Seems that one important point with Invisible Illusion project is to show the result of different development process apply to one source…

About the surface of this album :
I found a plastic turntable cover with the inscription “electronic control”, it was transparent so I thought I would be able to made an interesting artwork cover by taking a shot thru this.
Then I decided to create an accurate music for it. After the quite dark Tohu Wa Bohu I wanted to slowly glide to the light.
That’s why despite it could have been far more on the electronic side actually it sounds very industrial music with a touch of “jazz”, not real jazz more the sort of dark jazz Mecano did on Autoportrait album.

Also the silence within silence has been record for the excellent compilation silence by Camembert Electrique. It’s a slightly different version camembertelectrique.bandcamp.com/track/silence-within-silence than the both versions listenable on the LP.

About the depths of this album :

Do you remember ?
The first time you disobeyed to an order, not to something maybe acceptable from a skilled authority but from the kind of authoritarian people without skill, needing hierarchy power to show they are above the other, despite it could be just small team chief
with very little power, the smaller they are the more they need to prove it by being nasty. Do you remember how the struggle for this freedom make you aware of who you are ?
Disobedience is one thing but it’s meaningful only if it leads to autonomy. What a pity if slaves break their iron chains to swap with golden chains.
I will try to talk the less possible about control, because it makes me sick, but it’s the plot of this album.
There is only one song with real lyrics and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche quotations, most of the music is echoing the feelings grown inside me in the last few years.
So since the covid excuse to build up the electronic control society, situation is awful, it was already the case several years ago : there was the increasing level of state violence, state terrorism and media censorship.
It can still get worst making us our own cops, all that black mirror shit already more than half happens.
If it needs to resume : shock strategy worked perfectly and now as some said there will be no way back without fighting for our rights.
Well this sounds naïve, if you remember the subprime crisis or the looting of Greece, you know that the dices are loaded : states, banks, multinationals create rules that they never really follow.
Corruption is the replication process of capitalism virus. Hand in hand with all kind of mafias. So what ? Solidarity is the antidote.
Perhaps keep a space to think by yourself, act by yourself at your local level, your own way,
keep your dreams alive and don’t feed the nightmare with your hopes. And at some point we may wake up.

All things begun with a little riddim joke came from a french broadcast jetfm.fr/site/-The-Russian-Fortune,165-.html, talking of a kind of CON conspiracy : control, comfort, consumerism… when you dig words in C working in that same objective of freedom annihilation it’s amazing because seems you can always find a new one.
And that’s the way all things end.
Good listen & thanks a lot for the support.

Piece Of Acid – Der Grosse Knall Remixes EP

Piece Of Acid – Der Grosse Knall Remixes EP
[DigitalDiamonds089]

Piece Of Acid

“Der Grosse Knall Remixes EP”

Piece of Acid has been an integral part since the early days of the Psychedelic Techno community – from his contributions as co-founder of our label in 2006 to being one half of the DJ and producer duo that we all know and love: Alic
His immense experience.. it is flawlessly reflected in the acid-infused beats of ‘Der Grosse Knall’, released last year inside the mythical Digital Family Vol. 9. Imperious basslines blended with deep mesmerizing grooves topped with a juicy slice of 303 wizardry convey an exquisite balance between cutting edge sound design from the XXI century and the unique aesthetics that defined the 1980s.
All of this is now taken to the next level inside Volker’s brand new Remix EP with 5 cunning re-interpretations by Crennwick, Cosmic Kingsnake, Adamson, Children of Mu and Anyer Quantum. Each of them expands the original elements of the eponymous track in uniquely refreshing ways, bringing an exceptionally explosive Psytechno to lead the dancefloor into an ecstatic experience!

“Trivia”

Minimalism | Pattern Music | Automatic Composition | Modern Composition

The 1st Album of Udiv project introduces a new automatic composition algorithm. Throughout the lengthy track we can hear a gradual transition from single-note patterns to standard ones, consisting of six notes within the given pentatonic row. In addition to the usual instrumentation for Djezmusic projects (such as chromatic percussion, piano, bass, bassoon, guitar), the cello and viola are used for the first time.

“Wayward Sketches of a Manual Labourer”

Andrew Haines tickles our nerve cords with the
most beautiful memories, in the tension between
capital depression and the cosmic dance constant
that cannot be taken away from us, neither from
regulations nor from tension. The pleasure will
remain, the frequencies will remain, the electric
universe will remain, come what may.

Andrew Haines a.k.a. Ae2 explores the outer realms
of cottage industry electronic music and eclectic
crafts, spirituality and shamanism, herbalism and
folklore, photography and fine art. The project
has been primarily based around North Yorkshire
in England, northern Cymru and western Eire.

Sypha Nadon – Lovecraft
[MZR053]

Sypha Nadon

“Lovecraft”

Mauve Zone Recordings is pleased to announce the Sypha Nadon LP LOVECRAFT. Unlike the conventional pop stylings of 2018’s PLEASANT SONGS or the classy compositions of 2019’s HIRAETH, this marks a return to the band’s more experimental era, which is another way of saying lots of repetitious loops, pretentious song titles, unlistenable noise, and much pointless, meandering noodling. Disclaimer: aside from the album title and song names, this album actually has very little to do with Lovecraft.

Tracklisting:

1. From Beyond (5:02)
2. A Mountain Walked (5:55)
3. The Sad Shoggoth (5:08)
4. “Yes, My Dead Courtesan, I Remember the Red Hook Orgies” (5:36)
5. An Adequately Excellent Lover (3:21)
6. The Zann Variations (4:43)
7. Ambient Loop Parts 1 & 2 (6:35)
8. Owl With A Thousand Eyes (2:55)
9. Not Theirs the Cypress-Arch (5:09)
10. 9876√th Pulse-Beat of the Cosmic Fungus enveloping Yaddith (7:43)
11. Xibalba Chant (6:39)
12. Arkham House (2:54)
13. Destroy Creation (4:48)

Running Time: 66:30
