about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Kai Nobuko

“Ober Attached”

Kai Nobuko is a Dutch musician and producer who has released countless albums (he has definitely lost count!) under his own name and as Toxic Chicken and Covolux.

Kai was recently reunited with his Oberheim OB•12 synthesiser, which he had lent to a friend and then sort of forgotten about. He quickly fell in love with this intrument again, and with this album he presents a sincere homage to the OB•12 in the shape of imagined fantasy “demo tunes”, which showcase what this sky-blue beauty can do. To add to the challenge, no sequencing software or hardware was used. What you hear was played live, in just a few layers of tracks.

Within this dreamy album you might be surprised by what the synth is capable off when treated with love and kindness, but it’s even more likely that you will simply zone out as you find yourself floating away into a cloudless sky, with the OB•12 as your magic carpet.

[mhrk285]

Wolne Pokoje

“Kostropate”

1: Common quantum physicists’ interpretation and statement is that there is no such thing as matter and what we all call matter, in reality is energy. The whole universe is energy, frequencies, vibrations. What we observe is energy vibrations that are slowed down to a level that is perceivable by our senses and sensors. It all exists thanks to forces which make particles quiver and yet keep the whole system together. Many spiritual or metaphysical things in essence have always been just physics which we have not properly seen and understand yet.

2: “Spaces lost, abandoned, cheated by history and nature have an odd, somewhat surreal charm … When things and places lose the context that gave them function or meaning, you can rediscover them. Useless, even freed in a sense, they gain a specific aura. Not only do we see them as new, but they also turn their surprised sights towards us and try to ask us a question … Sometimes an accidental glance is enough to give in to the force of that place for years. Sometimes a place lives in a person since childhood.” — Katharina Raabe, Monika Sznajderman, taken from the intro to„Znikająca Europa”, Wydawnictwo Czarne, Wołowiec, 2006.

These two contexts were the inspiration for the energy, frequency and vibration of Wolne Pokoje’s “Kostropate”.

For The Glory Of Nothing – Garmonbozia

For The Glory Of Nothing – Garmonbozia
[UKRec004]

For The Glory Of Nothing

“Garmonbozia”

“Garmonbozia” – an uncanny hidden plot distinguishes the For the Glory of nothing’s EP debut – out on 22nd September for UKhan Records.

It seems that a thin red red red line binds events and pheanomenons apparently not bound to each other; subterranean connections typifying paranoid constructs of alienated conspiracionists and some historical facts that are marked as truth only after centuries, with no more risk of being considered fool just for the fact of whispering about it.

Based on this necessary premise, the purpose of For The Glory of Nothing’s EP Garmonbozia is to tell us that a strong relationship stand between the first nuclear tests in the American desert, the dark ritual of Sexual Magic pursued by Alaister Crowley, Roy Hubbard and Jack Parsons from Ordo Templis Orientis, the opening of dimensional gates, several ritual murders who feed the modern press (some of them happened in the moonless evenings of the Tuscanian countrysides) and UFO phenomena as subtle events of demonic nature, as per the “interdimensional hypothesis” of Vallée, Hynek and Keel.

For the Glory Of Nothing are not alone in believing in this apparent madness, as David Lynch’s Twin Peaks universe seems to refer to the same strong bindings. The purpose of all this is given by the artist itself: “It happens that men divided from their souls secrete the favorite nourishment to the lords of the infrahuman abysses. They know all the secrects of the matter; in an era where every contact with the First Light is cut, the unbearable vertigo eases men to trade with filthy beings.

The four tracks of Garmonbozia offer an oneiric, sophisticated and allucinatory ambient, with tribal and psychotic IDM elements, substained by unsetting industrial grounds. Eerie atmospheres find a vessel into UKhan Records catalog.

“Garmonbozia” will be released on 22nd September 2021 by UKhan Records and will be preceded by the single “Anti-world, overnight” which will be made available from 8th September 2021 on label’s channel

BIOGRAPHY

Due to the fact they are a hidden couple, For the glory of Nothing are forced to stay unkown and unable to perform live. First encounter took place in an extremely confidential context as anonymous subjects; months after, a random detail in the everyday life gave them the chance to recognize each other. Beyond any self preservation logic, they decide to compose something to witness the fellowship of these two souls. They can’t predict anything any further; those who will benefit their works, they will take them as they will be, if they will be and the way they will be.

“Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam”.

Luke Lund – Vaporous Passage

Luke Lund – Vaporous Passage
[TERR115]

Luke Lund

“Vaporous Passage”

TERR115: “Vaporous Passage” is a ruminative distillation of Luke Lund’s hypnagogic drone guitar and obsession with fx, dedicated to exploring textural properties and limitations of the EBow.

Inspired by revisiting recordings from 2011, this hourlong improvised guitar journey harkens back to his EBow worshipping “Infinite Sustain” albums from former ambient project Light Overhead, but importantly bears no efforts to purely retrace those recordings a decade later.

Split into two contrary forces, the album opens with bittersweet, swirling vignettes saturated with ferric fuzz — the dreamlike, chiming breeze of “Deliverance From Doubt” arcs to elegant organ-like tones before dissipating away into the glistening, soporific kaleidoscope of “Far Peripheral” — A reprise bridges the warm soundscapes into a despaired flipside of unholy drone — The depleted discord of “First Encounter” paints a monochrome, void-staring picture — The churning phantom rhythm of quasi-industrial “The Ache Beneath” crushes across spiraling walls of doom — The searching album finale floods over with a heart-stricken motif as a closing gesture…

“Vaporous Passage” is a vehement step forwards, revitalising his relationship with weightless guitar by a more mature approach.

Musica Casual – Hegemonias

Musica Casual – Hegemonias
[pn194]

Musica Casual

“Hegemonias”

“Hegemonías”, the most recent album by Santiago’s Rodrigo Mardones aka “Música Casual”, is an ode to abstraction revealed through 4 small suites that will feed the most unsatisfied needs of contemporary music lovers.

Starting from tools that are not necessarily the latest trend in fashion, Mardones manages to construct a meta-music that is desired by both collectors and addicts to the accumulation of gadgets with little or no talent for the inventiveness that we happily encounter here. The notion of less is more finds its newest exponent in “Música Casual”. It follows in a legacy of stars that have made of electronic music paradises of plenitude. You name them.

A poisonous industrial environment is what the ex-manager of the group “Sintra” delivers in “Hegemonías”, a record that affirms him as a reference point when talking about post-Chilean psychedelia.

Wilder Gonzales Agreda
(Lima, Perú. Agosto / August 2021)

“Hegemonías” (“Hegemony”) is a concept borrowed from the thinking of the Italian philosopher Antonio Gramshi/ we live in full pandemic hegemony/ the question was how do I continue to cross through it/ making music/ yes, with what I had at hand/ obsolete technologies/ a way of being in the world/ at the beginning was all noise/ step by step/ less is more/ while the more restrictions the more music is made.

ANTERAKS – The Harbour Of Thoughts

ANTERAKS – The Harbour Of Thoughts
[mhrk282]

ANTERAKS

“The Harbour Of Thoughts”

Through the project ANTERAKS the voices of INNOCENT BUT GUILTY (France) and UBURGRUND (Romania) go beyond what the eyes cannot reach. The two speakers of visions met in the vaporous virtual realm and decided to melt their different tongues and challenge an unequal syncretism of analogue and digital equipment. Past endeavours were released at Foolish Records from Bordeaux (Serotonine, debut du voyage; Past and Beyond; Invisible Traces) upon an effort to combine dark-ambient colours and noise-meditative ruminations taking inspiration out of poetry and intimate congestions. The album “The Harbour of Thoughts” throws enigmatic sound patches of dreary and pensive recollections from written pages and sudden unconscious movements of the mind. As ANTERAKS casts its despondent contrasting lights over the tops of one’s reverie, on the other shore of imagination a wave digs the cave for your eclipse.

Blacky Daylight

“The Noon Era”

The path to truth is thorny, passing through the palisade of mistakes and dead ends. In the old days, the people themselves became an obstacle in the way of scientific knowledge – the conservative blinkered masses, led by the blinded by religion mighty of this world. Teachings questioning God’s spark and giving a natural scientific interpretation had a high chance of being declared heresy with fatal consequences for the founders. Wandering dissolutely in the labyrinth of thoughts, scientists of the past moved by touch, mixing the scientific worldview with the occult in search of true meanings. The Church then possessed full power and law, thus the theological view of the essence of being was the defining criterion of Universal acceptance. For any phenomenon and confluence of circumstances, basically, should be interpreted as a divine plan. So, born in gloomy palaces, the Science of the Name of the Lord God revealed the impossible alchemy of holy faith and exact sciences, determining for a millennium ahead the fate of the Civilization of Noon.

4T Thieves – Fame Is An Addiction

4T Thieves – Fame Is An Addiction
[mhrk280]

4T Thieves

“Fame Is An Addiction”

“Fame is an Addiction” sounds like a cassette you found while walking on the beach, half burried in the sand, case slightly warped by the heat of the sun, little pebbles and bits of seashells embedded inside, tape loose and almost melted. You rescue it, clean it up, spool it in, and when you play it you discover that the noise of the sea waves somehow got imprinted onto it and melded with the music.

Every tune is deep within its own comfortable bed of noise, each sound treading through thick viscous aural quicksand, beats pop in from behind lush canopies of strings and pads, flocks of melodies swirl above, clouds of frequencies cast their shadows on top of everything else and the place becomes that bit cooler. Every tune does paint a scenery indeed, each is really alike a place you inhabit for a few minutes. They all feel tangible and expansive, they welcome roaming and exploration, so much is happening there, so much to see/hear/feel, so much to discover each time you return.

It all sounds old and fresh, damaged yet fully contained, at the verge of collapse yet tightly controlled. There is certainly a story being told in this music, but it’s a different story for each different listener. It’s the kind of music that burrows in and pulls out of you as much as it brings and it’s that mix of the internal and the external, right here and right now, that makes it an entirely personal experience.
