Andrés Flórez es un artista local con mucha proyección en la escena electrónica mundial porque trae en su ADN una influencia en los sonidos House old school con un ambiente perfecto a todo detalle. Su performance tiene una personalidad única y futurista que evoca los exquisitos ritmos del universo sonoro de la música House.
AFM presenta un disco de 5 canciones que trae toda una aventura melódica muy alegre y bastante pistera junto a sus ambientes espaciales que lo hace muy agradable para escuchar. Sin duda mucho baile es lo que nos presenta AFM con este EP llamado ‘Lonely Streets’.

It has been a long time since we released any music out as a label. We’ve been quite (and we still sort of are). This whole new worldwide situation got us thinking in what direction should we go next…and if we should at all. We still haven’t really figured that out, but since we had our 12th anniversary this summer, we’ve decided to gather few tracks from our friends (who you may already know from their past appearances on the label) and offer them as a reminder that we are still here.

Monofónicos Netlabel presenta el debut del artista Hod con un increíble disco llamado Reminisce EP. Este lanzamiento representa el disco número 40 del Netlabel de Medellín qué por 11 años lleva música libre apoyando el talento local.
Juan Andrés Rúa es un artista ascendente dentro de la escena local donde su música llega buscando una visión distinta y específica que permite una alternativa hacia la nueva expresión de música electrónica de alto nivel, demostrando la gran calidad de artistas que hay en la ciudad de Medellín. 
Reminisce EP es un disco conformado por 5 tracks que se filtra en un Techno melódico y espacial logrando dejar caer también toda su fuerza y energía musical con una gama de texturas modernas con su toque personal de fondos atmosféricos.
Música con mucha altura para disfrutar en grande, totalmente recomendado!

For years Mike Gregoire, the founding owner of blocSonic has been making music as mGee. With What’cha Wanna Do EP that changes. He’s now releasing original new music as Me As In You. The EP is essentially a maxi-single for a great new electronic/house track “Wanna (Right Now)” featuring various versions of the song, including an epic 13+ minute version. Anyway, there’s more to be said about the new artist name and direction, but Mike speaks about it in the liner-notes PDF, so be sure to check it out. Download and enjoy.

It took a bit of time, but finally here’s the “Troubadour EP”: three original and fresh tracks for DJs and house music lovers!
As opposed to my previous EP “Together, Alone and Tired”, this one attempts to bring some light. It’s meant to be fun and carrying hope.
The first track, “Troubadour”, is a tech/progressive house tune with a break that switches on a 3/4 tempo and brings in… some medieval-sounding instruments. Hence the name, I guess! In case you are put off by that break, know that I’ve made a “straight edit” version of the tune. On the other hand, that would mean losing what makes this track so fun to listen ;-)
“Emergency Exit” goes into groovy/funky house territory with a seriously-funky bass line, while multiple catch lines are brought in. The objective of this tune is really to bring people on the dance floor. If you happen to play during a gig, feel free to let me know how the crowd reacted!
Again there’s a variation on this track included on the EP, which gets rid of the groovy-organ sections, just in case it’s not your thing.
Finally “Unreachable” raises the very important question of what would happen if a robot had to break up with it’s girlfriend, a… weather announcer. Because why not. The track tends towards the deeper end of house and uses a synthesized voice for the robot which is reminiscent of Radioheads’s “Fitter Happier”.
This final track brings a bit of melancholy to an otherwise uplifting EP.

This track has a story.
Initially, it was about managing to make a decent track out of a melody that had been playing in my head for… about 10 years. The first attempts were put together years ago using LMMS. They were not good at all: LMMS is great for certain things, but not as great for others. Then this year, when I rebuilt a decent studio setup and went back to Reaper, I gave another go at it and… oh joy! It started to sound decent.
So far I had a house-ish track with a vibe similar to those romantic french movies from the 70s and 80s. Those who grew up watching “La Boum” and such will know what I mean.
But then I stumbled upon a movie on archive.org called “My Man Godfrey”, a delightful romantic comedy from 1936 starring Carole Lombart and William Powell. The movie being Public Domain I thought it would be okay to sample dialogs from it and rearrange them to tell a slightly different story. I added them to the track and… a miracle! It sounded fantastic! I was in heaven!
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I decided to be 100% sure and checked whether it was actually legal to sample a movie in the Public Domain and… I got serious doubts. From what I understand, the movie could still be copyrighted in other countries, or its soundtrack (or its written dialogs) might still be protected. The joys of the current copyright mess… The only way to be sure would be to ask a lawyer to check whether the sampling is legit as far as his knowledge goes.
Right.
This is exactly why I believe copyright has it sooo wrong.
So I decided not to take the risk. I do find the whole thing ridiculous, but I don’t want to create any sort of trouble to the kind hosters of my tunes so I did a version without the dialogs. This is why this release has only one single track: a “romantic”, instrumental house tune. A bit of a shame if you ask me, but better than nothing!
The good news is: the track is under CreativeCommons BY-SA 4.0, which is as permissive as it gets while respecting intellectual property. So share it, mix it, spread it as you wish. Just leave my name next to it ;-)
In July 2015 a new electronic music label was born in Brazil. Amidst the rise of many new talents in need of space to show their work, Tropical Twista Records started with the idea to give voice to these brilliant artists, from Brazil and the rest of the world.
Five years later, the label stays true to the mission of releasing new and interesting people, spotlighting Brazilian and South American artists. Beyond that, TTR feeds the underground electronic music scene, encouraging and sharing its music in a broad and accessible way.
“Quintessence” is the closure of this first 5 year cycle: we gathered all elements of the previous years to give birth to a new energy, expansive, dynamic, long lasting and capable of creating new ideas, breaking paradigms every time.
We brought together these 15 artists in this compilation to once again solidify our intention and our commitment with the underground electronic music, experimental and avant-garde, Tropical Twista’s trademark.

Monofónicos Netlabel presenta el lanzamiento de Insanity Circle con su disco llamado Itinerario Nocturno, donde se unen increíbles atmosferas que hacen de su estilo algo único en la urbe.
Brayan Sánchez es el artista local detrás de Insanity Circle y que con su nuevo EP ofrece cinco tracks de un sonido muy profundo y eso gracias a unos cortes de House absoluto y de enorme calidad con un superlativo groove.
Un disco que nos sumerge en una narrativa de música nocturna con sonidos introspectivos brillando con la máxima profundidad, transportando nuestras emociones hacia un clímax de euforia para perderse en un sonido bastante encantador.
Sin duda un disco donde hay un toque más de gusto por la pista de baile en el que combina ritmos trepidantes perfecto para las horas más oscuras de la noche.
