about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

update, February 1st, 2026

Dear friends and followers of clongclongmoo. It's great to have you here. As you may have noticed, the site has changed a bit. Some people wanted to be able to access the music with fewer clicks. That should work again now. Here's a quick note to everyone who uses relatively new platforms such as Mirlo, Faircamp, or Coop: feel free to use the submit form to draw attention to your new music. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who runs a netlabel with free Creative Commons music. Thank you! Konrad from clongclongmoo

Tihomir Zdjelarevic – Mikrowelt

Tihomir Zdjelarevic – Mikrowelt
[WAC23]

Tihomir Zdjelarevic

“Mikrowelt”

Tihomir Zdjelarevic is a Berlin based musician. He works with modular synthesizer, string synthesizer, guitar, Four track and hardware effects to create a large soundscape with a kosmic vibe. Influenced by the 70s psychedelic music, especially Krautrock and Berlin school of electronic music, he sent himself on a journey to resurrect the sounds into an another authentic experience.

Mikrowelt is his first year of living in Berlin summed up in one LP. Most of the album is made of layers after layers of modular synthesizer tracks with some addition of guitar, sax, bass guitar and field recordings.

[UPL 078]

Projekt Luty

“Grzybnia”

On the 14th anniversary of formation, Projekt Luty met in the Nad Garażen Studio for a 140-minute recording session, which after endless remixing and appendixing became the 14th album by the band.

For those of you who love genredropping: semi-improvised tranceful parakraut-grunge’otronic-post-punk-noiserock. Joyfully jittery in autumn spirit.

Ayato & Kecap Tuyul – Flowers in the Trashbin

Ayato & Kecap Tuyul – Flowers in the Trashbin
[Eg0_186]

Ayato & Kecap Tuyul

“Flowers in the Trashbin”

Ayato & Kecap Tuyul met in 2008 and then started to collaborate regularily, mostly by file exchange. Flowers in the Trashbin was their first common work of this kind, a psychedelic sonic trip haunted by whispers and noises from weirdly tuned/prepared guitars, lo-fi electronics, & ghostly voices. Sometimes melodic, sometimes more abstract, always imaginative, these tracks were recorded and mixed between 2008 and 2009. The resulting album was released in march 2010 by HAK lo-fi record as a limited edition CD-R with a special rectangular cardboard cover that has been out of print since a long time. 8 years after both musicians still like a lot this album and would like it to share it with a broader audience.

Danke Sun – Movimiento

[SCL198]

Danke Sun

“Movimiento”

Danke Sun (previously known as Daily Khaos delivery) is Jordi´s and Javier´s new attempt to make new music returning to their spanish native language but without losing their british and american musical influences.

Now, they come up with a new EP, Movimiento, which includes the songs Movimiento, A contraluz, Al final and Miss interrupción.

All this means a straight move for them, taking into account that, after 20 years, they´re back with their “sung in spanish” melodies, in order to have more connection with their spanish listeners, as this is their first official release ever sung in spanish.

The result is a set of songs where they show us their always distinctive sound, which combines both classical and alternative style, but this time with the addition of the change of language from english into spanish. Consequently, and after their musical evolution during the years, this fresh combination leads them to a new point never experienced before.

This is their second collaboration with russian label Southern City Lab, after their 2015 Magical inerthia album release, signed as Deadlines, their parallel project at that time.

Danke Sun are currently working on their forthcoming album, and it will be composed of completely brand new material.

notforme! – Ludovican /// Forlorn Shores

[SCL-SNG008]

notforme!

“Ludovican /// Forlorn Shores”

The two new songs by the Karelian vagabond notforme! make up a postcard from the days past, and every postcard have two sides. The front is a bright, yet frantic picture, inspired by the Steven Hall’s imagery, with his shark feeding on people’s memories and a desperate wish to find a fragile balance in life. The back is a simple, but ironically sharp message to oneself. Without a stamp. To be wrapped in cellophane and hidden in the inner pocket. To remember.

Lyrics, guitar and vocals: Pavel Mokhort Bass guitar and backing vocals: Vladimir Zhmurin Drums: Nikolai Kuskov

Cover design by Vladimir Zhmurin and Pavel Mokhort

Recorded at Kukkovka Hell Studios, Petrozavodsk, Karelia, May, 2018 Mixing & mastering by Anatoly Nikulin, Brno, Czech Republic, May, 2018

Thanks a lot to all of you, who believed in, helped with and waited for the record to happen! See ya’ll in autumn!

ZeeKat – it Hertz (EP)

[BM07R18]

ZeeKat

“it Hertz (EP)”

Zeekat does this, because it’s a fairly cheap hobby that doesn’t require going out often. Project was started when enough musical equipment was collected allowing to engage in an activity that won’t ruin the eyesight. Influences include Ozric Tentacles, Porcupine Tree, Boards of Canada, The Orb and some low key existential dread.

File under post- and/or kraut-rock if you wish. This is his second album for Cologne, Germany based Netlabel Der Kleine Grüne Würfel.

Torn Vega – Three

[djummi.011]

Torn Vega

“Three”

Without ambiguity “Three” is Torn’s third album. After his largely on guitar and singing reduced second album “Temples”, here he picks up the moods from his first album “Beaches” again, but adds his very own idea of pop to all even more. With his music he draws a flashy bow from almost schlager-like Beat Music, over Broken Dilletante Lofi Rock up to Drone Guitar Noise. Strangely intimate. Unadapted and mainstream.

Captive Portal

“What Is?”

The prolific as ever Zach Bridier is back on Mahorka with his main genre-merging and style-hopping electronic music project Captive Portal with another 5 track EP! This time around, it’s guitar based music in a shoegaze-like style. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. Gazing at shoes is not obligatory. And, this time around, the EP comes also as a very limited edition cassette co-release with Zach’s own DBD Tapes.

Jan Strach

“Balearen Kanaren E.P.”

As per tradition, six tunes that missed becoming part of past full-length records – collected into an ep, mega-ecclectic as always. Beauty, dirt, melody, chaos, casio beats, screaming, a ballad, grunge riffs, casio-disco, tribal pounding.
