about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Red Star Martyrs vs Dubophonic All-Stars

“Time for Tea (EP)”

Red Star Martyrs vs Dubophonic All-Stars – Time for Tea (EP)
The Red Star Martyrs return with the 2nd EP on Dubophonic. This time the UK musician and producer Stanley Wood unleashes the herbal energy of tea, brewing some special blends, mixing the finest musical flavours of Europe, Jamaica, Orient and Occident in a tasty and relaxing chill out drink. Alongside with him, many artists from the Dubophonic netlabel family. Ibel, The Dubbstyle, Mr Mefistou and Koncrete Roots prepared their own special recipes and are ready to serve their exclusive versions of Stanley’s riddim. So, sip your cup and let the journey begin.

The EP starts with the taste of mint in our mouth, as the oriental vibes flow inna mystical way in the atmosphere. The river of tranquillity passes right in front of us, as we embark in a journey, that sets our mind and soul in a perfect balance. The magical voice of Ibel guides us ina Rub-a-dub journey of irieness, as he prepares his special Jamaican blend of tea, served in two different mixes.

The sounds of the far east travel to Argentina where mint receives a special treatment by the Dubbstyle, being mixed with the yerba mate leaves, only to be transformed into a antioxidant and cholesterol-lowering beverage, cleansing the body from all Babylon diseases. The logical outcome is the cleansing also of the mind and Mr Mefistou uses his double ethnical background and adds for the next recipe a touch of flamenco style guitar mixed with a New York influenced sound.

Finally our herbal beverage returns back to the country it started its journey, only to be chilled in the fridge and to be served with ice by the Koncrete Roots inna special dubplate style. Once we are cleansed, in body and in spirit, we can enjoy the last cup of tea served exactly at five o’clock by Stanley Wood himself. Give thanks for that wonderful journey!

Lunarblues and Opaeq – Haarp
An old friend in a new persona appears back on Kahvi now after a long break – Opaeq (you may know previously as Abyssal Plains) has teamed up with a new face on Kahvi – Lunarblues – they make a formidable team as you’ll hear!

A five track ep with both artists appearing on centre stage for a track or two each, along with a couple of special appearances of Opaeq in Lunarblues tracks.

If you’re familiar with the Abyssal Plains magic, then I don’t need to tell you that you’ve got more of the same but even better, in a more advanced, chilled and minimalistic style. Lunarblues doesn’t fail to impress either with his track Leni Fox, but out of all the tracks, the track I keep coming back to is Lunar Plains, which I found on youtube many moons ago and can never get enough of. Enjoy this fantastic ep but a legend, and legend to be!

Alexei Borisov and Anton Mobin – Q
Alexei Borisov and Anton Mobin met in Paris in 2009 with their duets (Astma & Crash Duo) and have been working together since that first concert, published on H.A.K. Lo-Fi Record. At each passage of Alexei in Paris, collaborations start again and take different forms: common organization of concert, live sessions broadcasted on Radio Libertaire or on the webradio KKWNE, also the trio project with Olga Nosova, as evidenced the album “Manifeste des 22” recorded live in Trashvortex and published by the Italian label Lonktaar.

In March 2013, Alexei Borisov and Anton Mobin decided to join their forces and ideas in studio and record “Try To Crawl Out Of It” , their first opus operated in duo published in early 2014 on the Polish label Mathka.

“Q” released by Zeromoon is the first live performance played in duo between Alexei Borisov and Anton Mobin. Other studio collaborations are underway as a promising recording session with Julie Rousse, Olivier Di Placido, Aka_Bondage, Ayato and Michel Kristof recorded in Paris last summer 2013.

Performed at “Q#2014” on 11th February, 2014 at Instants Chavirés, Montreuil (France).

Atomic feat. Anthony Poteat – I saw the sun
Winter has fallen under the horizon, taking away the shades of grey. Spring is just knocking on the door. Bring the new life into our homes with these tracks. Original wave interferes with saxophone tunes, which are slightly moving up our minds. Remix by Francesco Burchini is filled with hypnotic sounds and Anthony Poteat (USA) vocal. It will be the nice release for every house-head. Get transfered from death again to life. It is indeed the greatest magic in the world.

“Sāqiya gazes at history. Beautiful sounds, coming from the sea. Music scores written by amanuenses. Tarantellas intertwined in baroque embroideries, in a game of disguise, on allusive grooves. Bright and colorful wonders. Virtuous words drawn from an endless dictionary at the crossroads of cultures: Arab, French, and above all Spanish. Stories of encounters, exchanges, smiles, yet stories of oppression.”

There is a dream
Lurking on the other side
Of Midnight
Where false promises
And reality collide a dream
Where the darlings of darkness
Interpose their mindful will
Upon the lying light
Fleeced sheep
Bleating
Senseless rhythms
Droning prayers
To the butcher-gods who laugh
At their self-
Imposed demise
On the other side of midnight
The blurry windows
Of time are shattered
Shards of glass
Slice once blind eyes
And renounce sleep
Restored
Are the painful visions
Of truth
Long
Since Brainwashed

Fanciulli GOOM

“#1”

Fanciulli GOOM – #1
“#1” is the Fanciulli GOOM’s debut album, where they paint labyrinthic and dense soundscapes only making use of experimentation and improvisation. The release has born as a diary of the three days 21, 22, 23 of December 2012, during which, guided by the spectral winter atmosphere of an isolated house in the middle of a forest in Canzo (Como), the musicians have been transported by lysergic views in transforming their experiments with analogue machines in otherworldly visions #1 combines obsessive loops with deep drones, sound-walls with cosmic-arpeggios, generating inconceivable combination between rhythms and melodies, not identifiable with a unique genre. To be noted is the ecstatic pause during the second day (Warm Morning 414, Kodamas), which follows the more experimental first day (Jumping Jupiters), preluding the last day’s sound-rhythm explosion (Grog, Piovra). The whole listening is a harmonic expression of contemporary electronic music.
Fanciulli GOOM are directly involved in teaching new artists and sounds experimentalists in the framework of “51beatsLAB”. 51beatsLAB is an electronic music laboratory started in 2013, where the lessons alternate the use and teach of analogue machines (synthesizers, modular, drum-machines) with improvisation of mini-live in public contexts. The main objective is to introduce new talents to electronic music by making use of an “informal” approach, which favors the interactions among people, tutors and machines.

“thermosphere”

40gradmusik – thermosphere
drum’n’bass at tonAtom.

stylish and punchy. detailed and imaginative. fascinating pads combined with melodies and licks that stay with you all day.

space drum’n’bass is not just a name. again and again you can spot the sound memories of a past future, with the synth and organ-sounds that recall the golden times of b/w scifi movies and mono radio plays. and at the same time ” thermosphere ” hints at a future that – obviously anachronistic and counter-cyclical – seems promising and desirable. simultaneously aiming at both head and feet 40gradmusik take us with them on their monorail into a future world in which outer space is next door, 40 degrees (at least for the coming summer ) are not a bad perspective and the appropriate soundtrack are inevitably the twelve tracks of thermosphere . and depending on the mood it might get relaxing (“slow -motion replay”), motivating (“above the city”) or driving(“turbo pause”) .

so: put on your jet -pack and off to the “thermosphere” we go.

johannesvanbebber and loom (together: aka Manosonique) from Mannheim (Germany) are of the new generation of digital music producers… People who produce tunes and put them online (on Soundcloud or whatever), but then leave it at that; people who are creative with sound and dabble freely in various styles and genres without actively pursuing recording artist careers. This is their first official release.

johannesvanbebber has been playing several traditional instruments since his childhood, occasionally connects with other producers for collaborations here and there and does multimedia-live-performances at theaters and festivals in Frankfurt, Giessen and Berlin together with various people (under monikers like “musica practica,” with a strong focus on theoretical & reflective approaches).

loom has gained a standing as a DJ in the local Techno scene around Mannheim.

V/A – Anti-Chiptune Chiptune
At TWG, we’ve always pushed the odd, the weird, and the emotionally robust. In celebration of the more esoteric corners of the chiptune stratosphere we’ve compiled 19 tracks from some of chiptune’s most notable and talented purveyors of “what?” to showcase what can be done when the term chiptune is examined. From scene veterans as prolific as Alex Mauer and inpuj’s ilkae, to newer blood like Nappes and TWG staples like Guardia and Vegas Diamond. We’ve got the final every Fauxhound track, +Let’s Disinfect!+ covering Bit Shifter’s ‘Activation Theme’ in a folk punk style, an Alex Mauer track written in 1997 and live NES Rom manipulation from DJ NORTON ANTIVIRUS. Plus a whole ton more. Some is unexplainable, some is not chiptune and som is not music, but we hope you enjoy this eclectic selection of oddities. ~~~~Thank you for listening to the ACCSS’ message~~~~

“Outta Here (EP)”

Sunjaman – Outta Here (EP)
Sunjaman is an upcoming producer from Athens, Greece. Being a musician & bass player himself, he has always been exploring the sound of the bass, trying to travel into new territories on his effort to establish his own sound. On the process of exploring the bass territory, he had joined many bands and created numerous side-projects, from punk to hip hop. Nevertheless, dub has always been his main goal.

Inspired by the originality of roots dub and influenced by the modern dub steppa scene, he began to produce and public his tracks online. He made his debut release in 2013 and continued with many collaborations and releases. This is the first time he collaborates with Dubophonic.

The style of Sunjaman’s can’t be described by only one musical genre. It combines many elements of bass music, such as dubstep, jungle, steppa, roots, dubwise. This is eminent in this 7-track EP, consisting of three original tracks and four alternative cuts.

Nuff respect to Northical from the Greek band/soundsystem Kako Synapantima for vocalising “Heavyweight Sound”, as well as Manwel T from Dubkey Records for his version of “Outta Here”. Big shout out also to Jungle Raiders for a very energetic jungle cut of “Witness the day”. The cover art is credited to Katerina Arvaniti.

Souls of mine, yours, alive and mutual
Flow unique, united, melt in One
Beyond, beyond, beyond

Aqua – in aqua

“Aqua. Fluid, mutable, silently resilient, magically ubiquitous.

We come from Aqua – the first breath, the final tear.
Aqua is life, boundary, energy, protection, mystery, challenge,
attraction, distance, death, dream, memory. Aqua is simple and
infinite, complex and inexplicable.

This album is Aqua.
Songs melt and echo in each other, glide, evolve and return,
vibrate.
It’s a minute bend in a universal, eternal, flow – it’s a glimpse of
something we all share, the One we wordlessly are.

This album is for my children.
We are Aqua. ”
