about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

Threepeeoh & C-Doc – SIX ONNA 7

Threepeeoh & C-Doc – SIX ONNA 7
[BS450047]

Threepeeoh & C-Doc

“SIX ONNA 7”

Back in 2012, Tha Silent Partner came up with an ingenious way to utilize our then quite new digital fortyFive format. He decided to break the format out of the conventional one song per “side” concept. Instead he delivered six brief gems clocking in at under 12 minutes altogether… or just under 6 minutes per “side”. Thus, the SIX ONNA 7 series was born.

Since then, with Tha Silent Partner’s blessing, other artists have taken that concept and ran with it. None more than The Impossebulls’ C-Doc who has released 3 SIX ONNA 7s, second only to the originator himself. One of which featured TSP where Doc expands on the concept by making it a shared artist experience where each artist delivers one side of material.

Today, C-Doc continues that idea of the shared SIX ONNA 7. This time around he shares the spotlight with fellow Public Enemy producer Threepeeoh! In addition to his work for PE, Threepeeoh has recently produced music on DJ Lord’s (Public Enemy / Prophets of Rage) album “Afterburn”. A talented producer who brings a unique sound to the blocSonic catalog with his incredible tracks which kick off this release. Of course, the dope music only continues on the Doc side! blocSonic listeners are sure spoiled. Enjoy!

Yo C-Doc… thanks for putting Threepeeoh on! Two sides of dope music! Threepeeoh, thank you, sir! Incredible work. Welcome to the blocSonic fam!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

RAPB3AR – RAPB3AR

RAPB3AR – RAPB3AR

RAPB3AR

“RAPB3AR”

In 2018, the television series Adventure Time aired its final episode ever. As my long-standing favourite show on TV, I couldn’t let this emotional and climactic moment go past without making something to honour it. And so, I present to you: RAPB3AR. A concept album set around twenty years after the events of the final season, it follow the grandson of Rap Bear (and son of Son of Rap Bear) RAPB3AR, a Soundcloud rapper with some emotional issues, as he struggles to control his lyrical superpowers, stay on the right side of the law and be true to himself. All beats by myself, using samples from the show’s soundtrack and title card music. I really hope you like, whether you’re a fan of the show or have never heard of it. Stay Mathematical, dudes.

Hana Sent – Eyes Cream

Hana Sent – Eyes Cream
[51bts057]

Hana Sent

“Eyes Cream”

“Eyes Cream” by Hana Sent open up with the syncopated percussive arpeggios of “Arctic Toys”, which introduce a slow but decisive beat, markedly eighties, before cool melodies like a gin tonic on the rocks let us enter the mood of the album. It continues with the dreamy melodic lines of the title track, which take us on a sunny Caribbean beach, complete with windblown palm trees and tortoise sunglasses. “Hanawon Nights” does the verse to a certain synth pop of the 90s, with its claps on beat and a rolling snare that charges the percussive inputs, a SID sound marimba completes the picture, assured headbanging, for the most exquisitely dancey piece of the EP. In the slow and moving body of “Body High” you find echoes of a Moby under ice, always with a splash of gin, and you can dream of a long summer sea in the west coast frequented by lovers of rollerblading. “Disco Splendydog” takes advantage of a great bass-up spin and inserts 8bit elements and fast rhythm synths, with vocal samples, fake scratches and tb303: early house, early acid, early pleasure. The EP closes with the melancholic melodies of “Kimchi Break Out”, like in dreams, which when they end leave a smile on your face but also a certain nostalgia. Thanks for the beautiful dream, Hana Sent.

Weldroid – Regenerative

Weldroid – Regenerative

Weldroid

“Regenerative”

From Igloo Mag:

“Weldroid (aka Tamás Zsiros) returns with Regenerative for Kahvi Collective, and this new album is a multifaceted foray of chilled electronics that spans through ambient, synthesizer, and abstract IDM fissures.

Somehow a bit more tranquil in its approach (Zsiros noted that he “decided for a more performance-oriented approach, putting micro-editing and automation aside—and letting unpredictability and probability-based sequencing rule“) each piece admits a softer side the artists’ immense sound bank.”

z(xW+yV) – Trois Prises

z(xW+yV) – Trois Prises
[Eg0_213]

z(xW+yV)

“Trois Prises”

z(xW+yV) is a solo project of Kecap Tuyul started spring 2018 while experimenting different ways to generate low volume feedback with small gear. After some tries with one contact microphone and one 1W battery-powered amplifier he developped a modular system on this basis, in order to generate not only feedback, but also feedback of feedback, and feedback of feedback of feedback (…) by chaining amps and microphones in a circular way that blurs more and more the distinction between sound source and sound’s reproduction, between acoustic musical instruments and electronic sound diffusion.

Unlike its first album 3×2(1W+18V) whose 3 pieces where mixes of 2 improvisations, Trois Prises features only raw improvisations played on more complex versions of the set-up (with 3 or 4 amplifiers). Track 1 & 3 contain no edits, track 2 was edited from a longer improvisation.

Michael Valentine West – Discrete Objects

Michael Valentine West – Discrete Objects
[AR_093]

Michael Valentine West

“Discrete Objects”

The album “Discrete Objects” was conceived whilst observing geometry in nature and trying to make a connection between it, neuroscience and abstract physics theories. This led to the question; could using a series of ‘discrete objects’ intentionally cause a cognitive change in the listener?

To test this idea, a number of processes (discrete objects) were used to enhance the recordings. This envolved the subtle usage of neural oscillators (alpha, beta, delta, gamma and theta waves), isochronic tones, binaural beats, harmonic counterpoint and stereo placement.

The result was a slowly evolving musical body of work in which the listener is gradually coaxed into an altered state, vaguely equivalent to ‘tripping’.

In order to fully take advantage of this album, playback on decent stereo speakers that are optimally placed, or good headphones are recommended. However, Discrete Objects can still be enjoyed from a purely musical aspect without these recommendations.

Corruttela – Corruttela

Corruttela – Corruttela
[enrmp440]

Corruttela

“Corruttela”

Corruttela is an Italian side-project rising from the artistic connection of Emiliano Pietrini (Globoscuro) + Edoardo Pistolesi Somigli (Edø Pistø Sømi) with the aim of exploring new sound potentialities through a 4-hands compositional approach in which the two artistic personalities are giving birth to a renovated concept, in which electronic and analogue ambient refined flows are walking arm in arm, and melt in a psychedelic and concrete “harmonious disharmony”. The 4 tracks in this first work are characterized by a heterogeneous homogeneity, mainly based on the alchemic fusion of electronic sounds intertwining with smart piano-esque bleeps, gusts of concrete noise, irrational wooden percussions, synthesizers and theremin that walk together with different kind of steps but in a stubbornly common direction. Paradoxically the panorama that opens up raves geometrically outlined visions, it is a sort of sonic poem without words which leads on a corridor with many doors and many entrances that revolve around the different cardinal points of a common caothic universe.

mar io – listen to my heart

mar io – listen to my heart
[127]

mar io

“listen to my heart”

What sticks out while listening to the Listen to my heart EP is the fact that ist creator Mar io has been in the business for a long time and has mastered the skill of combining a range of influences and styles into very atmospheric tunes. After his previous vinyl EP on the Cologne-based label Form & Terra, these seven new tracks seem more like a mini album than your usual EP and embrace the listener with warm and atmospheric melodies, vocals and lots of groove from start to finish. Mar io’s sounds are packed with club music history, ranging from acid house references, emerging through the Zweig remix of the title track, up to flashbacks into the more explicit and direct approach for which 90s club tracks are so much loved these days. However, he always manages to weave such influences into his tracks in the most respectful way, not making it sound like an obvious reach out to the retro-crowd but like a loving reminiscence of the glorious past. Not to forget that with „Shake Your Body (Give It To Me)“ (Electro Mix) Mar io underlines that his latest EP is not only made for the dancefloor, even though this is where it surely will cause elevate levels of serotonine pretty soon.

Ölü Körpe – Vol. 4 – Great Migration

Ölü Körpe – Vol. 4 – Great Migration

Ölü Körpe

“Vol. 4 – Great Migration”

Since Ölü Körpe was released their ‘Saudade’ music video (bit.ly/SaudadeOluKorpe) in January, I feels it might be similiar with his first album with full of guitar ambient. But, last week, when I was checking my email, suddenly I found that Lutfi-man behind Ölü Körpe- sent me his new album called, Great Migration. There are 5 songs included it. And something fresh from the album is the sounds that he made; Less guitar ambient and more percussive sound.

In ‘Great Migration’, Luthfi had more explore their way and approarch to make a sounds. He literally make a ‘great migration’ of his works; Moved a little bit to the sides from his usual Del Toro-ish (Guillermo, not Benicio) to be manic, awkward, and more anxious with his new approach.

You might want to use good headphones for this 5-songs journey. Luthfi put some interesting movements here and there, so that’s that.

Enkō and Inversus – Murmur EP

Enkō and Inversus – Murmur EP

Enkō and Inversus

“Murmur EP”

Enkō and Inversus is a mixture of two artistic talents who are actively contributing to the Lisbon music scene.

Enkō is a DJ and producer and a rising name on techno and ambient. He’s been behind the curatorial activity at OBRΔ after-hours, the sunset evenings of Ocaso, and is a solid DJ frequenting venues such as Lux, Boom Festival, Gare, Orbits, Festival Forte, etc.

Inversus is a musician, trained painter, and professional studio owner. He relentlessly explores the possibilities of visual and sound arts. The impact of his 2017 release, “Sobrena” (ZigurArtists label) is still echoing while his live performances continue to resonate.

“Murmur” arose from the intersection of these two producers’ exploration of semi-literal rhythms and atmospheres. The result fits very comfortably into the Arctic Dub (Sursumcorda) evolving aesthetic, with remixes by label partners Gabi von Dub (Augen) and Dave Wesley… and signature graphic design by Andre Macedo.
