Morphine Bandit is a project headed by a mysterious man/machine connexion. His purpose is to reach an altered state of consciouness and /or exstatic feelings by means of electronic dronescapes. “The subtle shift” is a direct reference to the way Morphine Bandit produces music. It starts with repetitive, hypnotic drone pads with sounds elements and noisy touches that evolve subtly and immerse the listener in an altered state (according to its mental state just before the listening experience).
“The final section of the triptych “Praying for the Be(a)st”, “Denouement” continues and concludes the story of our protagonist through all the discrepancies and dilemmas. A realization of the power of existence and dreaming, this record tells the story of that character realizing that without an audience, a catastrophe is short lived. So eventually. it is up to him to stop fueling the fire.

The first release of 2013 and its a guest artist. id Submerged, based in Norway, creates ambient soundscapes, with a hint of IDM such as you’ll hear in this ep entitled ‘Alone’.
Perhaps inspiration comes from the cold long nights in Norway at this time of year. Or perhaps it reflects his studio time.
Tracks range from the epic ‘Opportunities’ which has echoes of early Radix nuances, to the strangely named ‘noitalerroC’ which sounds heavily influenced by Solar Fields and the like.

Neuf Meuf is the solo project of Slovenian musician, Rok Vrbancic. “On Titled” is his third release in his six plus years making making music under his Neuf Meuf alias. This is experimental, lo-fi electrnic music at its best. There are many melodic influences, ambient shoegaze sections, and post rock influence. he title track and “Hise Spijo” were both found on Neuf Meuf’s last album, “What’s Left In Chorus.” “On Titled EP” in many ways acts as a aural continuation. While “Ontitled” and “Hise Spijo” channel noise pop, the rest of the tracks are more infused with ambient and shoegaze. uitars echo, voices whisper, noises build.

Ecclectic tastes, non ortodox mixing techniques, found sounds and losts dialogs creating atmospheres, sonic adventures & cosmic journeys from hidden departments of his mind. Begins at 18 as a radio DJ in his village, founder member of a disappeared trip-hop group during 2000’s, sporadic DJ appearances on free parties private chill-outs. Ambient freaky, house lover, trance addict, minimal user, techno abuser, and so on.. in a thousand would be times in a thousand would be worlds.
This album is more tan just samples over my stuff or a big mashup… It’s more an hommage to a certain kind of experimentalism that happened after WWII, a sort of re-interpretation of the psychedelic experience. We know who are the masters: The Doors, Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Stockhausen, Can and the German scence, even Aphex Twin… all were making true psychedelic music. I’m not talking about the new psy, even if I like some stuff (psychill mostly). It’s more towards rock music. But you can still dance on it. Some tracks are more suitable for home listening than others. I would say the first half is really made for home listening whereas the second part has a more Club appeal. Hope you’ll enjoy this one, maybe one of my best, put lots of effort into it. It’s made so that you have to listen to it from start to finish.

Darkness, as polar to brightness, is understood to be an absence of visible light. It is also the appearance of black in a color space. Humans are unable to distinguish color when either light or darkness predominate. In the absence of light, perception is achromatic and ultimately, black. The emotional response to darkness has metaphorical connotations in many cultures.
In terms of physics, an object is said to be dark when it absorbs photons, causing it to appear dim compared to other objects. Marco Manzella (electric guitar, born in Palermo) and Antonella Scalia (classical violin, born in Valderice) are a electric and classical musical duo formed in January 2012. After several live performances around Palermo they decided to record an EP with 7 tracks in October 2012, recorded and mixed by Simone Alvich, in their study-test room located in Palermo. Most of the harmonic and melodic structure of their compositions is designed and composed by Marco and after Antonella enhances the music with new melodic solution just to create an emotional and sublime atmosphere. Marco and Antonella are two artists with different experiences and musical genres but they are able to create solutions just to be in a homogeneous universe. The new EP “Oltre…” is a work of electroacoustic avanguard with folk shades which contains a nice post-rock/ambient atmosphere and it’s also has a strong influence of the contemporary-classical genre…and the word of music for cinema’s soundtracks!! Alternating heavenly and ethereal melodies and dark and tormented sonatas, the duo find a precise dimension distinguishing itself and earning the appreciation of the audience and professionists. Sounds of profound intimacy where it’s so easy to feel their instinct of talking, by notes, about themselves, what they see, what they think.
And here is the sibling of Shinobu’s former release “Shiho”. “Takeshi” was recorded with the same setup as “Shiho”, an electric guitar and a feedback device, and also in it’s duration it is quite similar, four tracks and about 35 minutes long.
Oscillating guitar tones, little shifts in tone an color, enjoy the extended trip into Shinobu’s wonderful and exciting soundworld with both releases “Shiho” and “Takeshi”.
