about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. Fields Ohio

“Neopagans”

Today we’re incredibly thrilled to be able to bring you new music by the intriguing and talented Fields Ohio, the long distance collaboration of Christine Annarino in Ohio and Eddie Palmer in New York. Their sound can best be described as trip-noire, consisting of lofi beats, banjo, ukulele, guitar, bass, percussion, synths & keys. Over the past 9 plus years, they’ve released ten albums packed with hypnotic and funky sonic adventures and now they bring blocSonic listeners new music!

With the new album “Neopagans”, Fields Ohio had so much in them to get out that they ended up with two albums worth of material ready to go. That’s right, twenty-six tracks and none of it filler. This is both moody and funky music that you’ll likely play all day in loop mode. Enjoy.

Hey Christine and Eddie, thank you both for allowing blocSonic to release such a fantastic release! Oh… Christine, welcome to the blocSonic family!

Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!

João Tavares, Michael Smith, Filipe Larsen

“April 21 Vol. 1”

It’s 2022 and jazz returns to MiMi. We couldn’t return to jazz without musicians like João Tavares, Michael Smith and Filipe Larsen. Fernando Resendes is the guest who brings with him the electronics that are perfectly involved with the saxophone, the electric bass and the drums.

This first volume prod our curiosity. Four improvised parts that take us to Casa Grande da Caloura, on the island of Azores, in 2021. The island is an important part of this narrative. Anyone who has been there knows that the climate is different, that the lightness of the island is reflected in the sounds that are part of this record. Music that remind us of the sudden change between the sun and the rain, between the heat and the goosebumps on the skin. Cadences that make us wait for the next step.

Dynamic and memorable.
Close your eyes and absorb the story. It is obvious that it will not end in this volume.

Part I
Michael Smith > soprano Saxophone
Filipe Larsen > electr. bass
Fernando Resendes > electronics
João Tavares > drums

Part II
Michael Smith > alto Saxophone
Filipe Larsen > electr. bass

Hudba k představení Divadla Drak v Hradci Králové s názvem Expedice, má láska!

Bílý ostrov září. Ztracený uprostřed ledového oceánu vydává světlo, přestože to nikdo nevidí. Právě teď, když sedím ve Stockholmu a píšu tyto řádky, obklopuje Bílý ostrov záře.

Nikdo to nevidí.

Aries Death Cult

“GAEA”

It happened that the cat met the fox in a forest, and as she thought to herself:
‘He is clever and full of experience, and much esteemed in the world,’ she spoke to him in a friendly way.
‘Good day, dear Mr Fox, how are you? How is all with you? How are you getting on in these hard times?’
The fox, full of all kinds of arrogance, looked at the cat from head to foot, and for a long time did not know whether he would give any answer or not.
At last he said: ‘Oh, you wretched beard-cleaner, you piebald fool, you hungry mouse-hunter, what can you be thinking of? Have you the cheek to ask how I am getting on? What have you learnt? How many arts do you understand?’
‘I understand but one,’ replied the cat, modestly.
‘What art is that?’ asked the fox.
‘When the hounds are following me, I can spring into a tree and save myself.’
‘Is that all?’ said the fox. ‘I am master of a hundred arts, and have into the bargain a sackful of cunning. You make me sorry for you; come with me, I will teach you how people get away from the hounds.’
Just then came a hunter with four dogs. The cat sprang nimbly up a tree, and sat down at the top of it, where the branches and foliage quite concealed her.
‘Open your sack, Mr Fox, open your sack,’ cried the cat to him, but the dogs had already seized him, and were holding him fast.
‘Ah, Mr Fox,’ cried the cat. ‘You with your hundred arts are left in the lurch! Had you been able to climb like me, you would not have lost your life.’

Bon-Psy – Cursed Life

Bon-Psy – Cursed Life
[07]

Bon-Psy

“Cursed Life”

On his latest release, Bon-Psy promotes empowerment of the mind, or at the very least, the notion that we all have the ability to control our own negative thoughts.

Cursed Life begins in a bleak state of affairs, murky pianos fill the space whilst a poignant commentary details the mental challenges people face in their adolescence. With this, Bon-Psy sets the scene, and provides insight into his own circumstances growing up.

As the track progresses, we are exposed to a variety of moods and styles. Bon-Psy navigates this gloomy world he has manifested, exploring its depths and finding glimmers of hope intertwined with jazz infused Electronica.

The closing stages of Cursed Life suggest a newfound sense of power. The once disheartening commentary now appears imbued with a fighting spirit, suggesting to the listener that they have the power within themselves to control and appease the mental anguish that plagues them.

“Many times in my life I have felt cursed. On my worst days, the mental anguish of just being a human, and the trials and tribulations associated with it feel like too much of a burden to bear. At some point in our lives we are all destined for a degree of extreme hardship, sadness, depression, anxiety, death or despair, and it can appear at times that as humans we really are cursed in that sense. We find ourselves lost in these states, and digging ourselves out of that hole is a task too big and monstrous to even begin contemplating. But Whilst the world can be daunting and cold beyond measure, you as an individual have the facilities and resources to make your life better. You can get yourself out of those states if you do everything within your power to do so. Take control, move towards a better existence, as there’s something to be said, to know that you’re the sort of creature that can look mortality and catastrophe straight in the eye, and nonetheless, stand up.”

A Symbiotic Experience

“Open Source”

The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel & HAMFUGGI Records present Open Source by A Symbiotic Experience.
The first part of a trilogie with Oneiric Sound and Original Subversion.
“Free Music for Open People”.

About the depths of this album :
Do you remember ?
The first time you did a step outside the mainstream, the revelation when you discovered that without any wave your own breath propels you wherever you want it.
There are many kind of demonstrative musics, showing technical skills, epic apex, feelings tearing up you eyes, whatever…
Open Source music, a kind of Inconclusive music, open up space for differents forms of life.
Our music is for me a sincere example of what Hamfuggi Records curation made possible to come alive online to keep awake your ears.
Only essential music trying to do not stay stuck in any common paths, not even our own way. Not for seeking this for itself but by love of freedom.
It is the pathfinders harvest that we deliver.
Do you wanna keep your ears free from the strayjacket’s habits ?

About the surface of the album :
A Symbiotic Experience more than a concept is obviously an experience. I mean it’s no just a name, it’s how we really operate.
More than any sound brilliance, it is the mind singularity that should take you by the hand for this journey.
Perhaps our first albums were more dream projection or capture,
but the further we go the closer it seems to
merely be… the dream.

The fourth album is here Gesamtkunstwerk

Boyan & Bon-Psy – Legacy (Bon-Psy Remix)

Boyan & Bon-Psy – Legacy (Bon-Psy Remix)
[SFX030821]

Boyan & Bon-Psy

“Legacy (Bon-Psy Remix)”

Melancholy and dance-friendly are moods that are uncommonly found in the same track, although that is exactly what UK producer Bon-Psy offers us on his interpolation of “Legacy (To Georgi)” – originally by Bulgarian piano whiz Boyan.

The two producers Boyan and Bon-Psy are not only worlds apart when it comes to location, they traverse different realms of genre too as Boyan leans towards soul and jazz-infused chillhop, while Bon-Psy pleasures audiences with forward-thinking electronica.

Through Stereofox Records a connection was established and the result… Bon-Psy transforms the serene and stripped-down composition “Legacy (to Georgi)” by Boyan into an electrifying remix by fleshing it out with glossy electronic textures, while keeping the melancholy of the original. Its Bon-Psy’s garden-fresh sound and his ability to take risks with his music that’s frequently garnered attention, and his “Legacy” (Remix) is yet another example of him pushing the boundaries of his genre.

“Enter, The Holy Divine (Part I) (Bon-Psy Remix)”

Bon-Psy provides a contrasting take on David Gothams Enter, The Holy Divine (Part I) in spectacular fashion.

The dark but moving original is transformed into the grooviest version of itself as Bon-Psy works his jazz influences into an intoxicating remix.

Though short, it is still every bit as sweet with Bon-Psy making use of walking bass lines & cello riffs to compliment his soothing blend of experimental beats.

R2. Coletivo NSLO and Lone Cosmonaut – Novos Sururus E Quiprocós De Um Convescote Chumbrega [Enhancement] (9:33)

Rosa dos Ventos presents instrumental compositions by Heitor Oliveira, performed by Dario Rodrigues Silva (piano), Gina Arantxa Arbeláez (flute), Renan Simões and Sabrina Souza (guitars). With significant independent artistic and academic trajectories, the musicians join forces for a collaborative endeavour that result in a series of phonographic releases, of which Rosa dos Ventos is the third.

The album Rosa dos Ventos presents three more pieces from the authorial repertoire of Coletivo N.S.L.O, closing the cycle of phonographic releases related to the founding project of the group. In the pieces of this album, the musical materials are cells that at times support games of guided improvisation, at other times they are presented with ostinatos and rhythmic lag procedures. In the duos El viejo de bien, for flautist and guitarist, and The meme loop, for pianist and guitarist, references to memories shared by the performers frame energetic instrumental performances. The track Rosa dos Ventos is a quartet that refers to the very experience of the group’s creative process in its multiple movements, directions, alternating roles and encounters.

nocniptak.cz (in Czech and English)

Noční pták (Nightbird) was formed ten years ago as a project of Luboš Fidler and Zdeněk Konopásek. Luboš Fidler is one of the most important and uncompromising performers of the Czech alternative scene. As a bass/acoustic guitar player, he was founding member of alternative rock groups of 1970s and 80s, such as Stehlík or Švehlík, he played with MCH Band, Kilhets etc. In early 1980s he was involved in the minimalist-experimental trio Janota-Fidler-Richter (together with Oldřich Janota and Pavel Richter). Zdeněk Konopásek was drummer of the early and late 1980s band Dvouletá fáma. He also played, e.g., in the Dr. Konopný Quartet (together with Joe Karafiát, Jan Štolba and Radomil Uhlíř) and also collaborated with Oldřich Janota. Currently he is involved in theatrical-musical performances of Divadlo Vizita and, as a second drummer, in the band Fish, Flesh, Field & Henry $. Occasionally, he plays solo on his drum set. The two are joined, in recent years, by a “permanent guest” Štěpán Pečírka (Vyšší popular, Kolotoč theater, Richter band).

The album “I am healthy and things are going well” is based on live recordings from rehearsals and home concert that took place in summer 2019. These recordings were revisited and reworked into original compositions by Luboš Fidler in early 2021.
Fidler explains the title of the album as follows: The phrase “I am healthy and things are going well” (or: I am healthy and fine) was pre-printed in all languages of Austrian-Hungarian monarchy on postcards sent by soldiers from the trenches of the First World War. This album can be understood as a flare fired from the trenches in which we have been for more than a year in 2020-21.

Bon-Psy

“Elation”

Continuing a successful string of releases, Bon-Psy once again offers a new piece synonymous with his innovative style.

Enlisting elements of traditional Electronic music but combining them with an experimental aesthetic, ‘Elation’ presents a dynamic release bursting with infectious yet eloquent vocals which highlight the producer’s exceptional ability to create forward thinking music.

This new release captures a sense of euphoria and passion that is often lost in today’s Electronic music landscape, reminding producers and listeners alike what is capable with only a laptop and an intense fascination of sound.

Closing off the production, Bon-Psy experiments with his interpretation of a Jazz/Electronic hybrid invoking images of an artist joyous and at play with his craft.
