about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

The Cherry Blues Project – On the Beach

The Cherry Blues Project – On the Beach
[NN_LP080_12_19]

The Cherry Blues Project

“On the Beach”

Debut in Nostress Netlabel with the digit album “On the Beach” released in the festive month as far as possible from the theme of artistic work. The Cherry Blues Project is an experimental band of Argentine music and sound art formed in 2001. It consists of two original members who use the pseudonyms Cherry and Blues. The “process” is mainly based on playing and listening carefully to the sounds of the reality. The essential points are the creation of soundscapes and the permanent saving of their auditory memory, sometimes registering on some discs in everyday situations. Each album represents a certain stage. In their huge discography there is the presence of humor, noise, everyday life, play, performance, free experiences, ridiculous, absurd, silent, things that should not be taken seriously, lies, satires, unattainable things, champions of talent, integrity and homogeneity concepts, ideas developed up to the concretion, lack of respect for the ears of others, sound terrorism, contemplations of life, skepticism and at the same time religiosity, contradictions, electricity, disconnection, calm, chaos, free time, conversations and dialogues, violence , etc. Their research is not just about the “musical” side, but they try to generate some kind of reaction in the person who listens to them. One of their influences is the Fluxus movement. This means that the albums must not simply be appreciated for sound, but also by all the work that goes from design to its conception, in some conceptual cases. The Cherry Blues Project is a project born of the visual arts, not the interest in “music” itself, which is why they have great influences or “connections” with the Fluxus movement.

Molez – One Remark

Molez – One Remark

Molez

“One Remark”

After years of experimenting with generative sounds, sonificated timbre, unusual percussion and unique atmosphere, Molez made a backtrack to his musical roots with “One Remark“. He crossed his 2 favorite styles: techstep drum&bass and glitch-hop, trying to put sci-fi nature into a slower tempo but still maintaining the energy of the dancefloor.

Point – Human Music

Point – Human Music
[DigitalDiamonds069L]

Point

“Human Music”

Point’s (GER) album, Human Music, is undefinable. It’s a lesson in sound design, expressively presented as a new breed of intelligent dance music. Its warm, rich and supple analogue textures will immediately engage you while meshing you between ripples of hybrid genres. Compositionally, it carefully progresses into symphonies of sombre etherealness then morphs into pronounced primordial rhythms. His third LP is a veracious nourishment of the soul and will have you feeling like you are standing on the edge of the earth.

DzEta – We Hope For A Happy Ending

DzEta – We Hope For A Happy Ending
[IYE36]

DzEta

“We Hope For A Happy Ending”

DzEta is NiCo (Limoges, France) solo musical project.
Inspired by instrumental music, post-rock and ambient music, by artists such as Ez3kiel, Slowdive, Mogwai… He create organic instrumental tracks that I stack to create a solid foundation for inspired aerial melodies. Playing both guitar and effects, mixing textures for misty atmospheres that reveal themselves towards the luminous.

Immersion in the landscape is one of the effects of listening to the DzEta songs: they are virtual visions, but with real sensations, thanks to a peculiar approach to the songs: a known form, halfway between post rock and shoegaze. Composed entirely in solitary, this ep plays with melodies in drawing landscapes that outline along hypothetical and hypnotic winter roads or following a flight of birds over mountains and still lifes.

Richey Hackett – Ephemeral

Richey Hackett – Ephemeral
[VULP-0159]

Richey Hackett

“Ephemeral”

Long-time Vulpiano stalwart Richey Hackett returns, embellishing on his eclectic fusion of synthy alternative rock. A multiplicity of techniques – including samples, industrial electronics and even trap rhythms – undergird Richey’s lyrically reflective writing; with songs more fully-formed than ever. Highlights include Vulpiano single “Keep Your Eye On The Time” with its beautiful ambient coda, the disquieting glitches of “These Are The Voices”, and the introspective ballad “Equivocator”.

Words from the artist:

“It feels great to not only have a new album completed at last but also to have it released on Vulpiano Records once again. Feels like coming home.

In terms of the lyrical themes, Ephemeral explores the fleeting nature of being alive, the insubstantiality of social media, the death of old relationships, the reliability of memory and the realities of living with intrusive thoughts.

Musically, I wanted to move away from the standard alternative rock style that has always been my trademark. Flawed Above Bored was kind of the apotheosis of that sound and, with so much time having elapsed since that album, it felt right to go in a new direction now.

So there are elements of industrial music, electronica and even some ambient moments, in so far as I’m capable of capturing those styles. And you still get plenty of fuzzy guitars here and there! I suppose then that you could say Ephemeral represents a step forward for me musically; not quite a leap, as I still tend to gravitate towards catchy melodies, but definitely my first shift towards a different kind of music.”

Atl.

“Fractured Mutants”

Deconstructing yesterdays inventions,
for instance walls,
we grow into a color- and artful future,
painting the world as we would love it to be.

The EP Fractured Mutants is a collaboration by Atl. and the visual artist Bob Clapés in BCN. Each track features a corresponding visual artwork. After seeing one artwork Atl. started to imagine and producing one track, raw cerebellum. Having those prefs saved he made other tracks. The tracks are musical reactions to certain visual artworks, being a homage to the visual artist Bob Clapés. You can read more about the process in the artist interview.

While the visuals are psy related fantastic creations you can find lead synth and bells in the music, that will probably turn into improbability frequency events.

Ultramerda

“Plastika”

The parental advisory’s warning, is no longer used today. the language of everyday life has broken the glass of censorship in the face of mothers against rock.

However Plastika would not need any stamp: your ears are ready to swallow this poet ante litteram that chews digital hardcore, cantautore and do it yourself. Proudly self-produced in everything from texts to recording.

Plastika are 12 tracks of a continuous loading and unloading of energy, in the form of syncopated shots and more intimate and rarefied passages.

Approved with the stamp by In Your Ears Netlabel.

Pandacetamol

“Driftwood”

Lots of oldskool influences in this new album from Pandacetamol. Obviously a fan of the classic 303 sound, with additional effects to create something unique out of an immediately familiar sound. Harp at Noon has that lovely, liquid metal feel of Diskreets classic release way back at #100.
