Ca5’s hobby is create a unique system with gadgets such as iPad and arduino. He use controllers at max / msp to reconstruct songs mainly centering on breaks beat, chiptunes and 8bit music.
Pastel Tones is a 4 instrumental tracks EP that will make you feel like you are playing a video game. This was the music we was raised on in a way. We grew up playing video games on the original Nintendo and then Sega Genesis.
We advise you to listen to this EP in loop, leaving the warning that it is very likely that you will get addicted.

This album explores different aspects of the manipulation of time. I have been asking myself how the digital results of manipulating time relate to my perception of time in the physical world. Having become comfortable watching videos at 2x speed, I recently found myself wanting to 2x a video call. In that moment, getting the information in real-time seemed inefficient. I wondered if I saw efficiency as simply squashing as much as possible into as little time as possible, and what does that mean for making and experiencing music.
I chop up the sounds as I chop up my time – squashing some meaningful moments and escaping from time through rituals of repetition. I enjoy the frantic sound of fighting time, but I am equally interested in the moments of surrender.
I wanted to create and experience music in different time scales. While there is no auditory container for sound, there is a time frame. We have physical limitations to how we can perceive music as the perception of sound is directly linked to time.
The artefacts that are produced from extended time-stretching are processed further to create textures and glitches. The results appear to me as fragments that suggest something lost or something found. Through a collapsing, expanding and ravelling of information, something new is created. It is not simply the same thing played fast or slow, but a new ‘thing’ that is very different to the original source, though still connected to it.
All these tracks began as improvisations. There are no restrictions to the processing and production, except that nothing gets redone. There is some quality in the spontaneity that I want to preserve. Though the material is shaped and transformed in many ways, it has an origin that is connected to a time, place and emotion.

SEPL (Scorched Earth Policy Lab) is Thierry Arnal from Lyon, France, who has released music as fragment., AMANTRA, SEPL, THA, 2W on Justin Broadrick’s label Avalanche Recordings, Ohm Resistance, KVITNU, M-tronic Label, Thisco Records, Pharmafabrick, Attenuation circuit and Mahorka. The SEPL adventure started in 2018 in the need to experiment in new territories. On Mahorka he debuted in 2021 with “QUASAR_VARIATION”.
In April 2022 Mahorka is putting out his new album “XY”, which is also the first time SEPL is released on a cassette – a beautiful limited edition.

About beneath the surface :
Gus used this poem when Trump got in power as it reminded him of populism and the rise of fascism that W. B. Yeats went through as well. He wanted the original track to start dark and end light, so a passage from darkness into light, a kind of alchemy. Then the pandemic happened and next the war in Ukraine amongst other disasters.
Sadly about a century later, this allegory describes the atmosphere of those gloomy days well.
Perhaps because history will loop until we learn from it.
The Second Coming
Turning and turning in the widening gyre

About above the surface :
This EP was waiting for months to be release. When Gus purposed me to release it, I was very enthusiast of course because of the music but also because of the loop concept :
to dive further in this sound thru alternate versions.
And finally because « The second coming » poem as a special meaning to me :
The first Video Art Clip I ever created was for this poem as well it was also one of the first track of Gestalt OrchestrA in 2005.
So I decided to inspire myself of Church of Illusion to create the moniker Invisible Illusion to collaborate with Gus.

Alongside the electrified side of his music which we showcased last December by releasing “Le Ciel Rouge”, an adventurous and freeform kind of post punk and noise pop whether from his duos Red Space Cyrod, HyperSensible and Tadash or by himself under the simple moniker Cyrod, Cyrille Poumerie has been exploring since 2014 a more electronic venture at the crossroads of ambient and kosmische musik with his Oizak project. Perpetuating a taste for visuals from vintage SF comics like with the two previous records “µ” (2019) and “Cartilages Stellaires” (2020), “Camping Sauvage !” (“Wild Camping” in English) is already the 13th release of this alias interested in abstract musical narratives, an album all the more captivating for attempting to draw a rather unprecedented bridge between synthetic soundscapes, psychedelic collages and cinematographic sampling, asserting a singular aesthetic equally influenced by 70s krautrock, 80s experimental pop and 90s abstract hip-hop. After diving into drone, stellar folk, noise dissonances, motorik and some sort of bedside neo-classical music, so many influences that reappear intermittently throughout “Camping Sauvage !”, Oizak offers us 5 new mutating instrumentals where downtempo beats, dreamlike synths, decadent arpeggiators and keyboards from another time mingle with vocal and orchestral samples (“Repérage Désordonné”), bursts of freejazz brass (“Amorçage des Possibles”) and more syncopated rhythms with a chopped up groove (the opening part of “Piétinement Orbital”), not hesitating to give in to its most baroque inspiration to finally remind us of a strange crossbreed between The Residents, Tangerine Dream and Kid Koala – or maybe Trans Am, Boards of Canada and 80s Morricone – without the avant-garde aspect ever taking over the cinematic impetus and delicate breathe of emotion. Not to be missed !

“Todo Lo que Extrañas Ya No Existe!” (“Everything You Miss No Longer Exists!”) is the second release for Pueblo Nuevo by Concepción based artist Eduardo Jofré Carrera aka Eduardo Only. A 4-track Glitch-Hop / Hip-Hop and IDM exercise in which we can enjoy nebulous, random and ethereal melodies, FM synthetic pads of exquisite taste, sampled drum hits and rhythms that combine perfectly with the evocative and cinematic turntable inserts. Possessing the mastery of a grainy, glitch-loving songwriter, this early human Jedi conceived this EP by means hardware-based one-take jam recordings, which were only tweaked with software at the time of mastering. Special mention is the tribute to the Chilean graffiti artist Masek, a personal friend of the musician, in precisely the track that bears his name. In short, if you like artists who sound like the future, who handle downtempo, trip-hop and master their tools with originality and skill, I recommend this work, without any doubt.

Not only was I getting acquainted with my new found surroundings but I was also dealing with a loss in the form of a relationship that spanned many years. Truly all 5 stages of grief were poured into this EP, especially the more ambient songs. Finally it became almost overwhelming and I felt it needed to be heard.”

This EP is by Dmytro Bobryk from Bucha by Kyiv in the Ukraine. He and his family had to flee from the Russian invasion in his city and he had to take his family to safety. Every day we all see with horror what is happening in Ukraine. This war against an entire innocent people is so horrible and utterly pointless and we all hope it ends as soon as possible. I’m so sad when I see the war pictures and I’m incredibly proud of the Ukrainian people who are fighting for their freedom and independence.
With this EP I want to support Dmytro Bobryk and his family during this difficult time they are going through and all proceeds go 100% directly to him and his family. Of course, this is only possible with your support and that’s why I ask you to support my project by buying the EP to show that we don’t look the other way and that everyone can help, even with small means.
