the weldroid labs open their doors once more and release some of their incredible and unique creatures, made of sound and images. they were bred lovingly in some of the several branches of the labs somewhere between stockholm and budapest from steam- and cyberpunk technology using both 8bit sounds and shiny futuristic computer consoles. seven specimen of these audio creatures have been selected for this incredible release. have a look at each of them, they are strange and beautiful. and though they are polished and designed each has a life of its own. and its own character, attitude and sometimes sense of humor.
“Memòries Del Diable” is the first record of Mtu, a collection sketches created from virtual manipulated sounds. It’s an album that will never sounds at a wedding or birthday party. A work not suitable for sunny days. William S. Burroughs appears on “Duat (The Wild Boys)” extracted from Ubuweb.com.
“Waveform” features seven experimental ambient and progressive electronic concept pieces from Subterrestrial. Spring is on it’s way, why not take this one last opportunity to immerse yourself in a chilly, unearthly soundscape?
CHEFKIRK’s no-input mixer generated sounds are self-cannibalized and intricately recomposed into simmer & slice, rumble & fry, bit-soaked rhythmic elements with moments of active title-suggested harshness & meditative purges. Free download from the most microscopic of electronic labels, .x.

“When talking about music with people, for saying things like “this beat is taken from …” i often get replys like: “yeah maybe, but i like it anyways.” If there wouldn’t be these “but, anyways” i’d be fine with it. We’re all stuck in the 18th century mentally. In the Middle Ages “componere” still had the original meaning of “to enclose”. It was taken for granted to derive new chorales from older ones. Usually parts of such compounds were composed but not completely new works. Whole works were crafted (=facere) which is a facile idea of mechanic humility, something we should care about.”
The Plastic Jazz Orchestra was formed by Bernd Burnson in late 2006 as an ensemble electronique for modern music. Tragically Bernd Burnson passed away in summer 2007 and left behind a bunch of young people determined to create something completely different, something new in terms of musical expression. So the tracks from ’39°’ by The Plastic Jazz Orchestra had never been compositions in their origins but handcrafted pieces of what we call music.
French artist Zreen ToyZ (born in 1954) often presents himself as Sound Sculptor or Sound Poet. After few years in classical training on piano and percussions, he does not appreciate the stifling conformity of the academy and turns to the improvised musics. The continuation of its training is essentially self-taught. Since his first pieces created in 1970, he works the sound material following inspiration of the moment, a raw and instinctive approach by stratification where any imperfection or sound incident become a harshness on which to hang on atmospheres or reflections. In this way, he creates impalpable and timeless landscapes where vibrations, noises, and collages erase the structure of the piece. “Grimoire Of Eternity” is the 12th album as Zreen ToyZ and it seems to be the last one…it’s reincarnated in the “Arcane Waves” project.
We, the people who make Rawmatroid team, are happy to write these lines after 4 years, feeling the same love, the same pride and equal respect for what we do that we felt the very first day, and keeping the same desire to share all our work with others.
After all this time we thought about doing a small review of the musical history of the netlabel. For this reason, in our now 4 th anniversary of Rawmatroid Netlabel, we have had the selection criteria and musical reinterpretation of Kebiin along with the subjective view of the lens of Javier Alvedro, to be the two of them who write this chapter and tell as a little story about the history of Rawmatroid as mix.
The electro-music/EdP sound collage project No Labels No Musics, challenges musicians to create original compositions from an existing field recording archive.
Participants are limited to field recordings as the only sound sources, but are encouraged to chop, mutilate, and process until cooked to desired flavor.
This is the resulting dish!

Here’s another hatchling by the nightingale of intelligent dance chirp – hertzcanary. birds don’t come easy is the third of the bird series (see related releases below for more).
