about

Since 2010, many netlabels and artists publish their new free music releases on the clongclongmoo website. Free means that you don't have to pay anything or register to download music. However, you can usually pay something to support the artists. Please note the licenses under which the music is published. This is important to know what you are allowed to do with the music. Please visit the labels' homepages to get the free music. Most files are published under a creative commons licence. At netlabellist you will find an extensive list of websites that also offer (or have offered) free music. If you run a netlabel yourself or offer your music for free and want to draw attention to it, you are welcome to use the submission form. And remember that clongclongmoo is not there to do business, because “Business Is Not My Music.”

tay_ploops – ta_rot
Tay_ploops is a solo project of multidisciplinary Canadian artist (painter, performer, puppeteer, musician) Jessica Gabriel. She initially conceived Ta_rot as a concept album of sad experimental songs to be released on 30 november 2018, for the international remembrance day for lost species.
Unexpected events of the cycle of life and death intervened in the genesis of this project and delayed it several times- but the wheel continues to turn and we are glad to finally to share this touching sonic testimony created with fragile materials.ta_rot is sound collage born from death
…the moon…..the wheel of time…
gone again end again
love to shell

Ayato & Naoki Ishida

“Tapes Outtakes”

Ayato & Naoki Ishida have been working together via file exchange since the early 2010s. 3 years after their album “Red_control rec.played” , they offer us a split album recorded between 2015 and 2016 : Tapes Outtakes. Here, as the title suggests, the 2 artists have both worked with magnetic tapes. Ayato has used an old Revox reel-to-reel tape player to create evolving loops of various instruments, while Naoki Ishida has used other (undisclosed) methods and material. Two ways to use the tape as an instrument and tool for experimental composition.

[UPL 079]

D.L.A.M.I.A.D.

“Luksus!”

Starfoods Chips, Serenata candybars, Tornado laundy detergent and Polish Polonez 1.5 car – first brands and first commercials that haunt my meoeries of late 80s and early 90s in Poland, glued to a screen of OTAKE TV set. The first whiff of imperialism, sudden flurry of colors and sounds and…Luksus! (Luxury). And out of nowhere, there is an ASSORTMENT of GOODS everywhere. For you, ladies and gentlemen, samples of memories cut out of memories – rhythmical tunes constructed of nothing else but beats, riffs, stabs and exclamations cut out from Polish tv commercials from transformational period – the sounds of Luksus.

“Maladresse”

“Après avoir été refusé par le label 1 EP par jour Records, cet EP se retrouve sur Linge, le label qui accepte toutes les merdes du monde. C’est moitié impro au synthé moitié techno bizarre. C’est sympa”

Demi Odessa – Body Memory

Demi Odessa – Body Memory

Demi Odessa

“Body Memory “

It is with great pleasure and eagerness that Recycled Plastics is able to introduce the listening world to Demi Odessa, a talented young man who has managed to create one of the best Summer albums we’ve ever heard. BODY MEMORY is notable not only because it is the first RP release to feature vocals, but because it embodies a beautiful confluence of youthful melancholy, seasonal playfulness, lo-fi charm and incredibly measured restraint. Elements of Demi Odessa can be traced all over the place, from warm tape-decked house music to minimal techno, from 1990’s trip hop records to classical synthpop – it’s all present, natural and unforced. Body Memory sounds easy, accessible and plays to both down and up moods at all the right points, still never letting the curtain pull back so much that we ever get a clear picture of the person behind it.

Keen listeners note: The limited edition CD-R comes with a disc-exclusive bonus track – a Milieu remix of “Don’t” that displaces Odessa’s lonesome vocals into a SAW 85-92 pool of bittersweetness for night-time cough syrup relaxation…

Projekt Luty

“Grzybnia”

On the 14th anniversary of formation, Projekt Luty met in the Nad Garażen Studio for a 140-minute recording session, which after endless remixing and appendixing became the 14th album by the band.

For those of you who love genredropping: semi-improvised tranceful parakraut-grunge’otronic-post-punk-noiserock. Joyfully jittery in autumn spirit.

“Y’a Comme Un Beat Dans Le Potage”

Stillborn Blues

“III”

Stillborn Blues – III
Stillborn Blues‘ 3rd album (originally released on cd-r in 2010) has the same old typical style : plaintive melancholy, detuned guitars, lo-fi recording, awkward playing muffled by the abuse of reverb and delay – all the ingredients for a low-profile soundtrack for lazy dreamers and restless losers in need of a pretext for spending the day watching the ceiling. Now that the music is on you can close the curtains and go back in your bed.

Walt Thisney

“Thiscordizen”

Walt Thisney – Thiscordizen
These tracks were originally released through Naviar label on their Haiku collections.
www.naviarrecords.comDiscordian Zen centres on the Rite of Not Knowing as its basic manifestation.

Performing the Rite of Not Knowing we enter into the realms of don’t know mind. Letting go of our time and opinions, doing what appears, we become more flexible, less attached. Discordian Zen represents a new Zen manifestation. While the Rite of Not Knowing represents Discordian Zen’s primary practice (open to anyone), there exist additional practices/manifestations. These include.

Discordian Zen has no temples, no location, no tax exempt status. It only seeks to manifest, transmit and expand the life-giving Chaos that constitutes our original nature, our original enlightenment.

C. Reider – Young Music vol. 2
The second volume of collected early works spans the years 1994 to 2001, when I was twenty-three to thirty years old.
Most of these pieces are either unreleased or have been out of print for decades.
Some of my more drone-based work from this early period has ended up on this volume of work.Free to download for those who can’t afford it, or pay something if you can afford it and want to support what I do.
