Kanz (real name Kaloyan Gavrilov) is a techno and experimental electronic music act hailing straight from Lyulin, Sofia, Bulgaria. He has notable releases and appearances on labels such as KOMPONENTI, Audio Avantgarde, WTF is SWAG and Vivus Records. He is also known for his collaboration work with Cyberian (on Amek and WTF is SWAG) as well as being a part of the now cult duo 80s Clash (with Dickie Slavkov) and the very promising project Lesnik (with SuB).

“Remind Me Tomorrow” is not one’s usual album and the tracks on it are not one’s usual album tracks. The release formed and (Kaloyan insists) should be viewed as a collection of always in progress works, created to be used as tools for Kanz live performances. Yet, some of these “tools” are already hit tracks, starting with the Kanz debut on Mahorka on the compilation album “Eastern Depths Vol.3” – the breath-taking track “Mindless” in 2016. “Restless” followed on “Music for elevators vol.5” in 2017 and in 2020 “Conditions” came out on the epic “Eastern Depths IV”. Yet, “Remind Me Tomorrow” works fantasticly good as an album.

he musical mater for the album „Symbiosis” was created for several years. This includes field recordings and studio experiments with sound processing. Passing it through various types of tapes and multi-layering different sound samples. The songs were recorded in real time on the A&H Gl 3800 analog mixer and 4 trace Tascam with the addition of a frequency filter and various types of reverberation and delays.

Anima Space are stories, some shorter, others longer, with common places and others at opposite ends. Stories drawn in a space and time appropriate to the language of its composer. A record full of seeds in germination. Rafael takes us from the city’s dance to rural tranquility in 8 fascinating tracks.

This six track EP features tracks from 4T Thieves, Aaron Jasinski, Audio Cephlon, Curious Inversions, Aeon Cub (Vizion) remixing Lackluster and The Last Little Bit. Great work from all involved!

“Somewhere” composed by the Sicilian Marco Pianges recalls the concept of psychogeographic “dérive” (drift) defined by the situationism of Guy Debord, proposing it again on a sonic journey through places never seen before. Longing for something never lived where regret and acceptance condense into deep dronic textures that as thread explore remote places on the Eurasian continent.

Dark Ambient backgrounds paint landscapes where the human element seems a distant memory evoked by old field recordings corroded by digital glitches and traces of static electricity. An electronic immersion between the ruins of past wars and areas made deserted by future disasters.

Biography

Marco Pianges uses of sine tones, concrete sounds and field recordings as a compositional material since 1997. In 2008 he releases the first album “Inside Implosion” for the German label Retinascan.
He is a member of AMP2 (Advanced Nusic and Media Pool Palermo) that together with Tim Hodkingson releases the album: “Hums”, for Bowindo Recordings 2009. In 2013 he published “Removal” for the Bulgarian net label Mahorka.
